Likes

The thing i liked is the atmosphere, people and cooperative and the study environment and coding environment is pretty well.
The library is very nice and contains all the books that a student needs
The weather of mysore and the location of college is just like an icing on the cake

Dislikes

The mess food is very bad and hardly edible.
The exams they conduct includes 5 internals and one sem end exam which keeps us busy the whole.year

The course is very nice and is not based on the old curriculum. We don't have to study chemistry in this course and is strictly focused on personality development and skillset development. The faculties are nice but in the college, you need to study yourself Exams are pretty good but invigilation is tough

Fidelity is one of the major recruiters for the internship. They offer various roles and convert most of them to full-time. It's a fintech company having a very nice and chill environment. Cisco and Visa also offers internship for various roles

From the 5th semester onwards students get eligible for college placement and also. it depends upon the company's demand. The highest package last year was 43 lakhs and the average package for the tech branch will be 15-16 lakhs. Almost 90% of students get placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are well-defined and will remain the same as they took in the first year. Although the hostel fees are dynamic in nature. They give scholarships based on annual family income and have some government-aided seats which cost only around 500000 per year

Campus Life

Jayciana is the annual fest and trust me it's one of the biggest event of mysore. We have elections for the president and apart from that we have many tech workshops and seminar takes place and are conducted by various clubs The library is pretty big and has almost all the books which are required . Sports ammenties are just satisfaction level.

Admission

I have COMED-K exam and got rank 3527 for 108 marks and got admission in computer science and business system Reservation benefits are for minorities They provide scholarships and have less fees for some reserved people of local Karnataka. The whole process was conducted online

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose electronics and communications wholeheartedly. Since my childhood, I was very interested in electronics and very humble in learning new topics in digital electronics. I was never a coding guy, so I took electronics and communications as my course. It was an easy choice for me. So class's average strength is around 65 to 70. And the faculty: student ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified and most of them are doctorate holders. The timetable is arranged in a manner such that there is smooth conduction of classes for all-year students. The exams are semester wise and there will be internals every month. Questions are better, you have to know little bit contents taught in classes and also from textbooks. It is easy to pass.
