Course Curriculum Overview
My elder brother has studied at this college and all of his batchmates got decent placements so I also opted for this college. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:30 and also the teachers were well qualified but they lack industry experience. There were two MSTS every semester followed by a final examination and the difficulty level was moderate.
Internships Opportunities
The final semester of my degree includes an internship and I was able to get an internship in Cognizant Technology Solutions with a stipend of 12000rs per month but there are many companies who give more than a 20000 stipend. My experience was good as I was trained in industry-specific technologies like Big Data, Hadoop, Power Bi, etc. which benefited me very much.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester onwards placements get started this college provides plenty of opportunities as more than 500 companies visit every year for placements. For my academic session, the average package was 6LPA and the highest package was 42 lpa offered by Amazon for software developer profiles. According to me, the percentage of placements was above 95%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure was affordable as compared to similar-tier colleges. The semester fees for my course were Rs.43000 and 40000 hostel fees. There were a few scholarships also available depending on your geographic location and family background and also for merit holders.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very vibrant as we get to interact with students from different states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, etc. Also, there are various cultural, social, and educational fests being organized throughout the year. Parivartan is a 2-day fest organized every year in the month of November.
Hostel Facilities
For the first two years, I opted for a hostel and my experience was awesome. The food was good, the rooms were well-maintained and the best part was my roommates. We get to know many people and develop a never-ending bond with them while living in hostels. For the final years, I rented a 2bhk flat near to my college there are plenty of options available nearer to campus like pgs., rooms, flats.
Admission
We have to just visit the college admission cell and they will provide spot admission depending on your subjects and 12th percentage. In my case for B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, the cut-off was 75%.
