The fee structure is bit on a higher side and some people are not able to afford it though they deserve to study in that college.

I took the state JEE entrance examination that time and took admission into computer science and engineering stream for BTech. I scored good and took admission into Kalinga Institute as it is best private engineering college in odisha. It has very highly qualified and esteemed professors in each of the field of study and it has the best infrastructure for engineering study. On top of all that it has very good placement record . each year hundreds of companies visit the campus to hire talent.

Yes it do provide internships during the summers and people are getting good stipends too. It actually varies from company to company and it is for 3 to 6 months of internship.

They are a good number of events organized every year. To name a few they have their own annual festival , lot of Tech events where people across academia and industry meet and discuss about the current happenings in the industry and encourage students to take up new research and projects to stay competitive. Apart from this there are lot of other festivals are celebrated inside the campus. Also there are events organized where many distinguished personalities from different fields are invited to share their life stories and to motivate the students.

Given the fact its one of the best private engineering college in India the fee structure is bit on higher side compared to the rest. But they do have scholarships for bright students coming from lower sections of the society. The university takes care of the yearly tuition fees and provides accommodation for such students who can not afford.

The university do provide scholarships to bright and needy students. Bank loans are availed based on the requirements of the student and as per the bank guidelines. Apart from this the college takes care of providing other govt scholarships and sponsorship.

As I said before it provides a holistic environment for study and overall improvement of personality and character. They do organize a number of extra curricular activities like sports and tech events like robotics and quizzes etc. Other tech events like coding hackathons, debates etc.

Hostel and mess food is good with a right mix of nutrition and taste. Though its not extravagant or lavish but it is quite good and healthy. It has the best quality accommodation and provides both shared and individual rooms based on the fee. It has all the facilities like internet , WiFi and security. there are separate hostels for boys and girls. They take care of the students living and their health maintaining hygiene and the cleaned rooms.

They have a very good alumni network. Many graduated from this college are well placed today in various national and international companies. They do help students to get into their best companies. In my own experience I started working with one of my college senior in his startup when I graduated in 2006. He had started his own company called Think ways Software in Bangalore which he later sold to another company. With that company I had started my experience in the IT industry.

There is a holistic environment for study and there is healthy competition among the students to excel. With this in mind students don't feel stressed out at all with the frequent exams and assignments. Rather students are more enthusiastic during these lab tests and assignments. People do find time to enjoy during the breaks and holidays.

All the faculty members are pioneers in their field of study and can match even to the stature of IITs and NITs in the country. They have vast experience of teaching and research in their own areas. They keep the students motivated and help students to ignite interest and passion in study.
