I have chosen Computer Science and Engineering Department in this college because of the placement graph. All faculty are very supportive and dedicated to us. Most of the faculty have done Ph.D. from a reputed institute. Monthly tests are taken apart from the CA exam which are much more helpful for Semester Exam.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like IBM, TCS, Persistent, Cognizant, Virtusa, and Amazon come to our college and provide internship offers to second and third-year students on the basis of their skills. With the help of internships, they got experienced and knowledge of how to work with a company.

Students of Asansol Engineering College, Asansol received the highest package offer of Rs. 4 Lakhs per annum and an average package of 2.5 Lakhs per annum. TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, IBM, Tata Motors, and Oracle are major companies visiting our college. 85% of students are placed in the computer science and engineering department.

Fees and Financial Aid

It will take approx 440000 to complete B. Tech degree from Computer Science and Engineering Department or any other Department from our College. Many Scholarships are provided here like Vivekananda Scholarship etc.

Campus Life

Spread over an area of more than 16 acres, the college has modern workshops, ICT rooms, Innovation Centers, an IIP cell, ED Cell. AEC FIESTA is an annual fest usually held in the month of March or April. Approx more than 65000 books are available in the Central Library of Asansol Engineering College. Many Sports events like Cricket, Basket Balls, and Badminton are held in the college. Many Clubs like Hardware Club, The science Clubs, and The Coding Clubs are also there.

Admission

Admission to Asansol engineering college can be taken through the west Bengal joint entrance exam or through the joint entrance exam(JEE). You can also take admission by direct admission but it will cost more. You have to be under 30000 rank in WBJEE for getting admission through WBJEE counseling.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

Placement Experience:

The minimum placement opportunities of our college is good . If you are in good in aptitude, Group discussions and your CV and technical skills are strong then you can easily crack a 7-10lpa job from our college. Overall our college provides decent opportunities for our placements but you need to maintain certain GPA to sit on those placements

TAKE A LOOK TO GCECT

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester we are eligible for the internship, also we can apply for both on campus and off campus placements. In our college some companies like Geotech, Infosys, Code Clouds, Unibit solutions visit every year. Average package is in the range of 3.5-5 Lakhs per annum and highest package is nearly 6-7Lpa. But post covid time our placement record decreased a bit. Nearly about 80-85% of CSE students get placed every year. Also I am currently appearing in interview of different companies for placement.

Walkthrough my journey Of AEC

I chose AEC due to better infrastructure and the nearity of Institute from my home. I got offers from many colleges in west bengal but due to high fees and remoteness from my home i did not opt for those Institute. Also the admission process is very smooth if you have proper documents it will only take you at most 2 hours for all the paper work and other things. To be eligible you must have more than 60 percent in your secondary as well as in senior secondary examination.
