Remarks

Overall it's a good experience. The area is really huge, if there is some effort put they can invest on maintaining the campus and make it even more top notch.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for Comed-K entrance exam in 2008. I scored 148 out of 180, got a call for counselling in Bangalore. Based on the rank which was 4689, I got Information Technology course B.E. in Sir MVIT.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is at par with any other college in India. First year focuses on the basics of the Engineering papers. After first year, one enters the core specialization papers. There are internal and external exams. Internal exams has only theory exams and the external ones have practical exams along with the theory ones. The course prepares one well for the placement post college education. Almost everyone is placed with good entry level package if they maintain a decent score throughout.

Internships Opportunities

Some companies come for internship for students and there are self initiated internships as well. We had Intel come for our batch for internship. They offered 25k at that time. Once the student completed their internship with good work they were offered permanent job at Intel with really good package.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is the main attraction of this college. The training and placement department is really prompt with hosting corporate companies and training the students in tandem with the latest industry standards which facilitate one to ace the interviews for the job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible considering the private college. It's so so not that much expensive considering the facilities. Also, if one opts for the hostel facility there is extra fees for that. Buses are provided at extra cost for the day scholars. Rest all is included in the main college fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't take any loan or scholarship,my education was self funded. If someone wants they may avail the same for appropriate sources

Campus Life

4.5

There is a nice blend of all genders in the campus and quite diverse regarding the demographics. College has good amount of extra curricular. Labs are well equipped. Sports area is really huge huge with two stadiums for cricket and football. There are basketball courts, clay tennis courts, indoor stadium, gym etc. There are different clubs for debates, robotics, programming etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are different for boys and girls with good amenities. Mess food is of decent quality with 3 time food and snacks etc. There are 5 hostels in total for boys and girls combined. Everyone gets the hostel accommodation if they opt for it, they are plenty of seats available. Mess food is hygienic and decent.

Alumni/Alumna

There is an alumni network for the college and yearly meets are hosted by the college administration where the students may communicate with the seniors

Exam Structure

Exam comprises of internals and externals. There are three internal exams for which best of three scores are considered and has weight age towards the final score. There is one external exam per semester and consists of theory and practical exams. The final score is released by the university.

Admission

First of all I appeared for the comed-k exam. There are three papers Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Based on your score you get the rank, then counselling is organised in Bangalore. After the counselling you get a list of colleges and courses you are eligible for, then after opting for the same, you proceed further for the admission with your relevant documents.

Faculty

4

Faculty of the college are a mix and match of average to really good. Overall it's a nice blend of people who know what they are teaching about. Most of them come from good academic qualification and know their field really well hence it's a good learning experience.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
