Frankly speaking I always wanted to be the student of IIT Delhi and Biotechnology and Biochemical engineering was the only stream I was eligible for , hence choose it.Talking about faculties we are blessed to have such great faculties .

Students are eligible for campus placements from seventh semester .Around 200-300 companies visit the campus, every major companies which recruits in India recruits in our college.I see myself well placed in any consultancy firm after getting my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Here at IIT Delhi we have tremendous scholarship oppurtunities both in view point of financially and merit wise .As of now I am not a beneficiary of any scholarship or financial assistance but hope that future will bring me such pleasure

Campus Life

One of the largest fest of Asia, Rendezvous and Tryst are the annual cultural and technical fests of IIT Delhi.IITD being one of the premium institute of India , fulfills all the requirements of booksand amenities

Hostel Facilities

Facilities provided by the board of hostel management are decent enough i.e. the rooms are two seaters with decent size and well conditioned.Mess facilities varies from one hostel to other but in general its pretty much decent.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

To enter into any IIT we need to go through the jee mains and jee advanced examinations.It was same with me hence I gave Jee mains in 2021 and then was qualified for jee advance and thus appeared in that but much to my disappointment I was unable to qualify that exam.hence I decided to fight back so took drop and prepared hard to bounce back.Scored well in jee main but still could not meet my expectations ,gave Jee Advanced this time scored well and as sweet result of it here I am an undergraduate student at IIT delhi

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
