Remarks

Conclusion is that It is a private Limited company whose main aim is to make money and second aim is to increase their asset.

Entrance Preview

PCET my rank was 20xx. I took admission through counseling. I got admission through OBC quota. There was no any interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

All the course was totally based on theory based. practical was only for to show that they have lab too. most of the students purchased project and submits to the teachers. Whenever we goes to lab all the equipment and connection was already set by lab assistant we were only asked to write down the readings. if some student changes the value (eg rotates one of button on CRO lab assistant takes too much time to set it again.

Internships Opportunities

very rarely. one time the Company TCS was come there for part time teli customer care support services. Most of company was only called in college for publicity of college .

Placement Experience

4

The overall placement rate was very high compare to other ptu colleges. but most of the company was from IT sector. most of my friends from ECE was got selected in IT companey but there was rarely placement in their field student from ME and ECE was got selected in IT company.

College Events

4

many times the cheif minister of punjab prakash singh badal was called at annual function. Gurdas maan , babbu maan, harbhajan maan etc was called at annual function. many time the private institute was called to held seminar and short term course and collect huge money from students. there was also a percentage commission of college .many robotics ethical hacking etc courses was offered by the visiting institution.

Fee Structure And Facilities

if you want to do engineering from private college like CGC or any others means you have to at least spend 10 lakh plus for 4 years course including hostel fee. but be alert u will only get a piece of paper called degree. their main intension is to earn money not to learn.

Fees and Financial Aid

no there was not any scholarship / loan facility offered by my college. scholarship was only for those who got rank in ptu exams

Campus Life

3.5

there was a good gender ratio there was around 800 girl on 1000 boys. in course like CEC, ECE and IT there was 1:1 boys and girls but in course like mechanical there was hardly 3 or 4 girls in whole stream of 200 students. lab was not open war students. there was good sports facility. there was basket ball ground. TT facility in hostel etc

Hostel Facilities

3.5

hostel facility was not bad. there was clean large and airy rooms. toilets and bathrooms were also clean and good, but time restriction was not good. you have to report before 8 pm otherwise you will not be able to get in hostel. so if you want do some part time job or any course then it will be a little difficult for you because you can not enter in hostel after 8 pm

Alumni/Alumna

Most of senior was very helpful. alumni was also good. In starting i do not talked with senior but once when i talked to them i come to know that they are very helpful.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was very bad. one can easily pass the exam without knowledge of the subjects. most of students prepare for exams only before 2 or three days before exam. most of us studied sorry learnt from 10 years. there was around 6 to 7 of my friends who came to me before one day from microcontroller and embedded system exam. All of my friends passed the exam but i failed. even my teacher indu bala was saying me to got rechecked my paper but i refused. I have to pay recheck fee even if in recheck there was a huge mistake my checker.

Admission

I got admission by paying admission fee hostel fee and one semester fee. i paid all the amount in cash. i also paid around 4000 security which they promised to return at the end of course. but at the end they demand too may formalities for security return like no dues from hostel warden (i had left the hostel in 3rd sem), no dues from mess, from canteen, from librabry, from all the lab Computer lab , chem lab, phy lab, internet lab, etc..

Faculty

4.5

Most of the faculty was hardworking. Our math teacher Sumit Goel was very very hard working. but some teachers who teaches us for few months (2 or 3 months ) was able to teach their subjects . One of our NAS teachers told that he does not know NAS and he was fail in NAS two time but the college administration has given him the subject.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
