Entrance Examination - CAT Score - 96.05 percentile I opted for this college because it was the Best Interview call I had. The main reason for opting this college was the ROI (Return on Investment). You spend 7.2 lakhs in two years to get an average package 13-14 lakhs

It is really hectic in the first semester but as you go along you speed up and get used to the pace of the course. It has a lot of subjects during a semster (10 on average). It has good exposure to the statistics courses as well as marketing courses.

Yes, My college provides Internship. General stipend is around 50k on average. My experience was not much as I was placed in the first company that visited our campus.

Placements are pretty good seeing the overall fee structure. You will have a lot of big consulting firms coming to the campus like Deloitte, PWC, Accenture Management Consulting, JP Morgan Chase, Wipro etc and you get other companies like spencers, vedanta and many banks which combine to be around 50 odd companies and average package was around 13 lakhs.

Purvodaya - The annual business fest of VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur. The latest version is scheduled to be held from February 3rd to 5th, 2017. Spring Fest, IIT Kharagpur is one of the largest social and cultural fests of India. Kshitij, the annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur provides a platform for a confluence of students, academia, and the industry.

Fee structure is pretty good. For the whole two years you will have to pay just 7 lakhs and 20 thousand. This 7.2 lakhs will include the hostel fees as well. This is a residential course so you will have to take hostel as a compulsory choice. Overall it is an affordable course.

No, I have not availed any of services. But they have tie up with SBI for the educational loan. They have a fee waiver system in place as well where they give 100% fee waive to some and 50% fee waive for others.

Gender Ratio of the batch was pretty low but it was fine for our senior and junior batch. For us it was only 8 girls for 73 boys. There were a lot of extra curricular activities including various sports events such as Rackets, futsal, Vgsom premier league (VPL) and it's B school fest Purvodaya

Hostel was good as we were given single rooms which helped us to focus on our studies but at the same time ,many events on various festivals were organized which were good for social interactions. Hostel food was fine as sometimes we used to get good food and sometimes not so good. But hostel life was the most amazing time of my life.

Alumni Network is pretty strong. There is a committee named Alumni Committee as well which keeps a good contact of the alumni

Exam Structure is very hectic. You will have to cope up with the pressure in the first semester. But you will get habitual. Exams will take place twice a day even the final Exams. But the date sheet will be made accordingly so no issues there. There will be maximum one day hectic.

Once you get a score in CAT, you fill a form for VGSoM. After that you wait for your call. If you get one, well and good and if you don't then your chance is over there. Once you get a call you have a GDPI round. First there is a GD and then you have to write the summary of the GD which they considered as WAT. Then there is personal interview which takes around 20-25 minutes per candidate. Based on all the factor they will give you a Rank. Then there will be counselling based on the ranks and that's how you get in.

Faculty of the college is really well qualified and takes interest in what student has to offer as well. They are a friendly bunch of people (not all) who takes burden to share there knowledge. They have a good enough role in grooming the personality of the students
