Course Curriculum Overview

I got allotted this college based on priorities in counselling. On average, there will be 60 students in a class and 5-7 lecturers for the respective courses. Most faculty are PhD holders while some PhD scholars teach some courses mainly Laboratories and some theory courses. There will be 3 internal exams for each course once a month. The semester exam follows the completion of courses usually for 4 months period.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester's end, you can have the opportunity to appear for placements. The core companies are very less to negligible. Technical companies mainly offer job opportunities. The average package differs from 400000-600000 per year based on the department background while the highest is this year, 1015000 per year. There will be 10 -20 students placed from each technical department like CSE, IT, and ECE

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the general category is 150000, SC / ST is 75000 and centac students is 13400. While one may see the difference between the fee which is very high. The college doesn't provide any scholarships. If one is eligible they can apply through NSP.

Campus Life

There will be cultural events every year in February or March. There will inter departments sports every year. Various clubs include a sports club, literary club, photography club, etc. One can join with his/her own interest

Admission

The student should have secured a rank in JEE to be eligible. Admission is done through JEE or CENTAC score. There are also admissions for Diploma students through lateral entry. Reservation benefits include fees concession for SC / ST Students.

Know About Puducherry Technological University

Placement Experience:

By 7th Semester, students are eligible for Campus Placements and there are several companies that have visited our college during a course of 2-3 months and there were many offers made, highest package was of 9.5 LPA and the average is of 5-6LPA Students are getting Placed very well, and i have place already so my plan is to get into the job and excell in the IT Sector

I got into SMVEC First, after a month later, i got into my current college PTU in which everything was better than SMVEC, SMVEC is a lot more like a school, while PTU is more like a college where the staffs dont consider about any rules, but they be on time and perfect when it comes to studies.
