Journey towards college life

The good thing about college is that it have a really best faculty to teach us and lot of experiences And placement is really good in our college. And one bad remark is that college don't have a all faculty for all subjects .

I was given MHT CET and I scored 125 in this exam. I opt this college because I have a interested in chemical engineering and want to do research further.

With a focus of research the course of chemical engineering is best for research. As name suggest chemical engineering means not that it is for the students who like the Chemistry should go to this field ,As it is engineering u should also have to interest in physics and maths. And if u gone a perfect in all these subjects of this course u get a lot of ways to get into field of research. Research like biofuels,Osmosis and reverse osmosis advance technology application,etc.

Yes LIT Nagpur provide intership to all students.As criteria for internship base on the percentage score in all semester's. Student who have the more percentage of marks get an intership in PSU companies like BPCL,IOCL etc. Student who have the average percentage score's get an intership in top private companies And students who score less percentage in all the semester get the companies like Reliance,Rashtriya chemical limited,etc. Overall it is a nice experience to all students and about stipend I dont know anything about it.

Placements at really good in this Institute. Companies come 15 to 16 per year and out of 75 students 40 students definitely gets the placements. Companies come to our college are 1.HPCL=12 lakh package 2.Reliance=6 lakh package 3.UPL=5 lakh package 4.Honeywell=8 lakh package 5.Thermax=8 lakh package 6. Aarti=3.5 lakh package 7.Sudarshan=6 lakh package And some more

The events celebrated in our college are 1.Ganesh festival(GFC) 2.React 3.LITMUN 4.Gathering 5.Merge In GFC there are mostly cultural programs like songs,dance and drama. In react interested students have to show their technical talent related to the field of chemical engineering. LITMUN is debate type event in which all Issues all over the world discussed. Gathering is an College event in which all orchestra,Dance,songs were organised. Merge is an event in which interested students have to show their hidden talents like graffiti,photograoghy etc.

Fee structure of this Institute is affordable to all students. For students who are in open caste(Maharashtra student)have to pay 28,000 per year and students of other Maharashtra State have to pay 45000 per year. For students who belong to OBC,NT caste have to pay 13000 per year. For students who belong to SC,ST cast have to pay 9000 per year.

I Don't know about any scholarship/loan facility which is provided by our college. As a scholarship like free scholarship for OBC,NT,SC,ST students is provided by state government and form for these scholarship should to taken from college.

Campus life is wonderful and teach lot thing to us like how to interact with people , matureness and one important thing leadership quality. Gender ratio of boys to girls is 2:1 Some labs of chemical engineering department,surface technology are really well maintained but some labs like petrochemical are not well maintained. About sports...LIT Nagpur is famous for the Cricket sport and all students get a chance to show their talents in practice matches. Competition such as debates were organised in the events like LITMUN and MERGE and all students get an chance to make it's decision in front of all others students came from various colleges.

For rating of hostel I will 3 points out of 5. Rooms quality are very good but bathrooms are not very well maintained due to these students have to face some problems. About mess food ...The foodn is average but it should to be improved. Hostel fees is 2000 per year. and mess fees is 1800 per month.

Seniors are really awesome.We learn lot of things from them and we have a strong bonding with them like an Ionic bond. Because of their experiences they tell us lot of things about course ,events which are very helpful to us. Alumni of LIT are really helpful ,Give lot of funds to college because they consider LIT as a mother and we all are childrens of LIT.So it's our duty in development of our mother that is LIT Nagpur.

Exam structure is really nice per year we have a two semesters. In per semester ... There is Sessional exams (written) of 20 marks and internal practicals of 25 marks. And then after one month of sessional exams Final exams are conducted of 80 marks and external practicals of 25 marks (before final exams).

I got an admission in this Institute by my MHT CET score. Procedure=First I filled the Maharashtra DTE form for rounds 1 to 4. Then in round 1 I got an admission in this college and I freeze it and Take an admission to it after 15 days of round 1 started. Administration was good and Helping each other if someone have any difficulties.

As the LIT Nagpur is a prestigious Institute for the field of chemical engineering. Faculty in this college are not so much excellent but they are hard worker and teach well in the lectures. As some of teachers qualified from IITs but they don't have teaching experience and quality of teaching. Most of seats for faculty is still vacant
