NICMAR University Admission Dates 2026

NICMAR University runs two admission rounds per year for postgraduate programmes. The 2026-27 admission cycle has concluded, with classes beginning on July 15, 2026. The dates below reflect the concluded 2026-27 cycle for reference and the tentative schedule for the 2027-28 cycle.

The tentative timeline for the 2027-28 batch is expected to follow the same structure, with Round 1 opening in January 2027. Aspirants should check the official NICMAR website for confirmed dates when the 2027-28 cycle is announced.

NICMAR University Courses and Fees

NICMAR University offers a full-spectrum portfolio from UG engineering and architecture to specialised postgraduate management, planning, and research programmes. The MBA family is its flagship, spanning 11+ specialisations across construction, real estate, infrastructure, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

The MBA in Advanced Construction Management (ACM) is NICMAR’s most sought-after programme, designed specifically for candidates targeting senior roles in construction majors, EPC contractors, real estate developers, and infrastructure consultancies. The PGD in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management (QSCM) is a one-year industry-focused diploma that accepts working professionals.

NICMAR University Admission Process

MBA Admission

Eligibility for all NICMAR MBA programmes requires a graduation degree in any discipline. Candidates with a background in civil engineering, architecture, or construction are prioritised for the ACM and APM specialisations, though no engineering background is mandatory for REUIM or other specialisations.

• Entrance: NCAT (NICMAR Common Admission Test) — conducted by NICMAR in two rounds per year
• Selection stages: Application submission, NCAT written test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Application Rating (considers academics, work experience, and extracurriculars)
• Work experience: Not mandatory for fresher applicants but is a positive factor in the rating process
• Final merit is a composite of NCAT score, GD/PI performance, and the application rating — no single cut-off score is published

NICMAR does not accept CAT, XAT, MAT, or GMAT scores in place of NCAT for its MBA programmes. Only NCAT is valid for all PG programmes at NICMAR University.

B.Tech Civil Engineering Admission

Eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Admission is based on JEE Main score or CUET UG rank. Candidates shortlisted through JEE Main or CUET proceed to NICMAR counselling for seat allocation.

B.Arch Admission

Eligibility requires 10+2 with Mathematics and 50% aggregate. Admission is based on a valid NATA score or JEE Paper 2 rank, followed by NICMAR counselling. B.Arch at NICMAR is affiliated with its Urban Planning and Design school and benefits from the university’s construction industry network.

BBA, Integrated MBA, and Ph.D Admission

BBA admissions accept CUET UG scores or merit-based direct applications. The five-year Integrated BBA+MBA is a direct pathway into the MBA stream without a separate NCAT requirement at the PG stage. Ph.D admissions require a master degree and a valid NET or GATE score, or performance in NICMAR’s own Research Aptitude Test.

NICMAR University Placements

The 2025 placement season recorded a highest domestic package of INR 25.09 LPA and a highest international package of INR 30 LPA. The average package stood at INR 9.25 LPA, with 737 students placed at a reported rate of 99%. Over 200 organisations recruited from NICMAR in 2025. MBA ACM graduates recorded an average of INR 8.18 LPA, with the highest domestic offers concentrated in EPC, infrastructure, and real estate consulting roles.

NICMAR’s construction industry network is its core placement strength. Confirmed recruiters include L&T Group, UltraTech Cement, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Adani Group, Voltas International, Jacobs, and ExxonMobil in the core construction and infrastructure space. Consulting and advisory recruiters include Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst and Young, and PwC. Financial sector recruiters include HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and Goldman Sachs for roles in real estate finance. International placements are primarily in the Gulf and South-East Asian construction markets, accounting for the highest packages in the INR 27 to 30 LPA range.

NICMAR University Rankings

NICMAR University holds a Collegedunia MBA rank of #158 out of 350 institutes nationally and #21 in Pune as per the 2026 Collegedunia Rankings. The IIRF 2025 rankings place NICMAR at #38 out of 122 private MBA institutes in India. The institution is NAAC A+ accredited — the highest NAAC grade — reflecting consistent performance on teaching, research, and governance parameters.

NICMAR does not appear in the NIRF Management ranked list, as its primary programme structure — specialised postgraduate management in construction, infrastructure, and real estate — does not align with NIRF’s general management ranking methodology. The university participates in NIRF but the domain-specific nature of its programmes means it falls outside the standard NIRF Management cohort.

NICMAR University Scholarships

NICMAR University offers three principal scholarship schemes for postgraduate students, in addition to state and central government scholarship eligibility for reserved category candidates.
