Likes

Placements are very good here with a very decent package.
Teaching and the equipments in the labs arevery good.
Hostels are very good with a good transportation facility.

Dislikes

Transportation is not present in the weekend.
Sometimes there are some water problems in the hostel.
Most of the Students speak in malyalam and becomes difficult to interact with them.

I chose this course because I am interested in electronics and stuff. Faculties here are highly qualified and are very friendly and helpful to the students. The qualification of the Faculties is Ph.D. and their teaching is awesome.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies give a wonderful opportunity for students with high packages. Companies like TCS and oracle take students by paying high salaries. Students will be trained for the interviews and help to get placed.

Placement Experience

From the fifth semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies give good jobs to students with a very decent package. The highest package is 64 LPA and the lowest is 5 LPA. Almost 90% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure here is 64k per semester for academics and the hostel fee is 6k per month. The cost of study is a little bit high but students studying here get placed in good companies. Students are also eligible for scholarships like NSP and FFE.

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest conducted here is RAGAM and is conducted in the month of March. Tathva is the technical fest conducted here in the month of October. Sports and extracurricular activities are also encouraged here.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are very good here with a great infrastructure. One room is given to every two students. The quality of the mess is also very good here and students are free to eat in any of the mess they like. Registration for the hostels is done at the time of joining.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Admission

To get admission to this college se need to crack JEE MAINS. Reservation benefits are availed based on gender caste and state of domicile. The aim is too tuff to crack but will get a seat in good institutes.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
