Decent placements with a great environment to study and socialize.

I chose this course because I am passionate about technology and computer science and wanted to pursue a career in this field. I see a great future in this course. The student-to-faculty ratio is good, so there is not much crowd on campus, and the students can generally study in a great environment. Most of the faculty members are assistant professors and have decent educational backgrounds. The teaching method is very traditional and straightforward, with nothing fancy. Exam schedules are timely, but sometimes exceptions are made due to certain circumstances. Exams are pretty to pass, with straightforward questions on the paper and nothing confusing. overall the environment is decent here.

companies like chemic, bebo, Adverb, josh technologies, infosys and TCS hire from our campus. projects are given to us and one major project we have to submit at the end semester. Internship opportunities are provided to students in 8 semesters in companies and in the companies, they are evaluated on the basis of their skills after successful completion of the internships students get offer letters from the companies they completed their internships in.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements on campus. And go for internships and Training. Not big tech companies visit our campus only small startups and mass hiring companies like TCS, Infosys etc type of companies hire students. Small startups like josh technologies, bebo, chemic etc come to campus for hiring candidates. The highest package is around 30 lacs but that is off-campus campus highest package is 10 lac and the lowest package is 2.5 lac. in cs and generally 100 % of students get placed but in ECE and MECH placements are very low. Plan to go abroad.

fees are normal and less than other colleges. it is 1lac per annum and the hostel is also cheap, the college also gives financial assistance to needy students. There are scholarships for sc/st students and EWS students.

Campus life is good and peaceful. very less social events are conducted on campus. some amin events are conducted only and the campus remains empty on weekends as local students from Chandigarh go home. There is the library, a decent one. Not all books are available but most of the coursework books are available in the library and a study hall above the library which is very useful to study in silence. Sports meet is conducted but on a very low level. Social clubs are there like drama club, singing club, dance club, tech club etc.

I was admitted through jee mains score. Students can register themselves at the JAC Chandigarh site for selection rounds. Registration fees are Rupees 2500 and differ in the reservation. JAC Chandigarh portal opens generally after jee advanced results. cutoffs are not high generally you could get CSE or IT in 60k to 80k. The admission process is smooth but sometimes students get problems with fee submission but that can be resolved.
