A BRIEF REVIEW ON NORTH EASTERN REGIONAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

I choose electronics and communication engineering because since my childhood I was eager to learn about semiconductors also when I will complete my degree there will be a boom in recruitment for semiconductor industries so it will be easy to get a job. Faculty members of our department are too good, the way they teach is mindblowing but one thing is that some of the professors cancel classes very frequently. Exams from my point of view are easy to pass, not that difficult.

there were many invitations from private training centres such as TRTC guwahati, Edureva, etc. and even from government sites such as BSNL, Power Grid etc. for both undergraduate and diploma students. Last time I did my internship at BSNL Agartala and the topic they taught us Mobile communication.

B.Tech 4th-year 1st year will be the period when you will get the opportunity to face on-campus placements. There were a quite few companies such as VEDANTA, POWER GRID, ONGC, and many more that come for placements. Each year around 40-50 people get the opportunity to receive on-campus placements. Last semester's highest package was 12.00 LPA and the average is about 8.00 LPA. the percentage is about 42%. My plans will be off-campus placements

They charge almost 5000-semester fees per semester this fee includes tuition fees, internet bills, hostel fees and each semester fee lasts for 5 months, and if you are staying in hostels they will charge 11000 per semester as mess fees, One can avail of scholarships if he/she belongs from minority castes since I am from general caste I am not getting any scholarships but as further as I know they get a minimum of 25000 as scholarship (minimum).

The cultural fest is RACAF, techno fest SHRISTI, sports fest SYNERGY, other than that many cultural fests suc as freshers party, prom night, BAISAKHI, LUIT and many more. There is a central library in our college, there is an abundance of books and one can find one based on his choice. Sports here are a top priority, one can see at least 2 events based on any of the outdoor sports each month. There are many clubs such as sports clubs, media club, Think India clubs etc.

they will provide you with 2 beds , 2 tables one celling fan ,1 almirah in your hostel room . You have to share your room with one other person. There will be a bathroom between each 5 rooms. Meal quality is quite decent don't keep too much of your hopes in this case. there is no seperate registration process for availing hostels you will have to stay in hostels and its mandatory. Locality is bad don't think about staying in rent . Here prices of goods is too high.

Eligibility criteria for admission was that you have to score atleast 50% in each subject of your 10th board exams if you want to study diploma and you have to be less than 18 years.
