MAIT Review from the perspective of a student

I chose Computer Science Engineering as I am passionate about technology. The course curriculum is well-organized which allows us to learn and apply our learnings in real-world scenarios. The faculty members are highly qualified in teaching and guiding. Every 20 students are allotted a faculty member with whom they can discuss their course of action throughout the program. There is a fixed schedule of exams that thoroughly test our theoretical and practical knowledge.

There are many internship opportunities provided by the college. These include internships in both private and government organizations. The college host inter college hackathon that are part of National level hackathon that provide internship opportunities in government organization.

Companies start hiring from 7th semester onwards and providing internships from 5th semester. These include companies like Adani Groups, Bain and company, Reliance Jio, etc. These companies offer Tech and Non-Tech roles. 30 LPA is the highest on-campus package offered, with 10 LPA being the average package. Around 70-80% of students get placed through on and off-campus placement. I plan to work in a Start-up after graduation.

The 4-year program cost around 4 lakhs. There are hikes in the fees which are notified to the students. There are also scholarships and student loans made available by the college. There are also abundant placement opportunities.

The annual fest is conducted by different societies. They are entertainment as well as learning-based. Books and journals are readily available through the library in both hard and soft copy. The teaching environment of the classrooms is calm and focused which helps in gaining knowledge. There is sports events conducted by the college, awarding the student that excels in them.

Before 2019, all admissions to B.Tech programs were done through a test conducted by GGSIPU. But from 2019 JEE Mains scores are used for admission. The cutoff of different programs is decided by the University. An applicant has to fill out an online admission application form in which they have to mention their JEE Mains rank and their preferences of the GGSIPU colleges. After the shortlisting rounds, the applicant has to report to their allotted college with the required documents to complete their registration process.
