Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the leather design because it had both garments and accessories. There are faculty for all the subjects and many guest faculties for special subjects if a student opts for one. Most of the teachers have a PhD and they are really helpful and love to give knowledge and have a fun way of teaching. There are 2 internals and a jury and a student can easily pass them if they pay attention in the classes.
Internships Opportunities
Many homegrown labels provide internships to us and we prefer to go to a place suggested by our teachers and seniors. The stipend can vary from unpaid to 10 or 15k per month. You should have a portfolio and the requirements for the internship
Placement Experience
Students in the 7th semester are qualified for placement. Some major companies come to our college but the offer is not very high. Not many of the students get into campus placement. The highest might be around 11 LPA and the lowest around 2-3 LPA. I plan on my masters after this
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is 1.5 to 1.75 lakhs per semester. But there is a Sarthak policy for students from weak financial backgrounds they have very less fees and are also provided with a scholarship. Many paid internship opportunities are provided and if a student wants some extra money they can do them by the learning
Campus Life
We have an annual fest called Spectrum. Normally many small competitions are also organised. Happens in Feb or March. We have many rare and great books in our library. Our classroom has all the facilities like a smart projector and also air conditioners. Many clubs perform diff extra circular activities. We have social, cultural, sports and film and photography clubs,
Admission
Must be the 12th pass. The application can be done from the Nift website and usually happens at the end of December or January. And the fees are between 1000 to 1500. There are seats reserved from SC, ST and OBC. The admission process is just fine.
