Course Curriculum Overview

In the computer department, the faculty members are good. Their behavior toward students is also good. In this course, there are two exams per semester. One is an in-semester and the second is an end-sem examination. Teachers are well qualified.

Internships Opportunities

The college didn't provide internship opportunities to the students. The students have to find the internship by themselves. It is compulsory to do the internship for at least one month at the college for further.

Placement Experience

The placement is also provided to college students. For facing the placement interviews the college conducts the STP sections to train the students for the placements. The placement percentage is also good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for the general category are one lakh eight thousand. It varies for the other categories. This college fee structure is very simple. You have to submit the half amount of fees at the time of admission. And then later you can give the remaining fees of the college. A government scholarship is also provided.

Campus Life

The college fest is organized every year. There is a library also for the students to study, and almost all books from all the departments are available. Various types of sports are also conducted in college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is also provided to college students who are coming to college far from home. The mess facility is also provided but the quality of the food is not very good. The registration process for a hostel is very simple.

Admission

It is a very simple admission process. By giving the Maharashtra state CET exam or JEE you can get admission to the college. Teachers also help students to fill out the exam form. It is a very simple process.

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

All BTech and MTech students can apply for offcampus placement if required but there sufficient oncampus placements and almost all students get placed.Companies visiting for computer and IT are tcs, infosys, capgemini, cognisant, Nvidia, IBM, etc Total 42 offers were made computer branch and 52 offers for IT branch. The percentage of placements is 80%.

Review of SITS, Narhe.

1) As I wasn't scored good enough in JEE so I couldn't get admission top engineering collges that time. Sinhgad Institute was good option for me because it's renowned institute in Pune and also has good placement record compared to other collges like JSPM, AISSMS etc. 2) Yes I got rejected from many institutes such as VIT, PICT, PCCOE due to low scores in entrance. 3) Admission procedure for college is according to guidelines given by State common entrance test cell.
