Course Curriculum Overview

3

1)As EnTC is blend of core branches like Mech. and tech savvy branches like cs, I choose EnTc at that time. 2) Personally I feel curicullam or syllabus of University doesn't match the current trend or expectations of market. 3) I think the syllabus should be more tilted towards current trends such as AI, IoT, ML etc. 4) ENTC branch is not that easy to pass like CS or IT. You have to prepare well enough to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

I am not right person to tell about internship opportunities available because I didn't applied for any internship during my college days. But college definitely supports the students who are keenly interested in internship programms.

Placement Experience

3

1) Normally Campus placements start from the beginning of 7th semester (beginning of 4th year) of course. 2) MNCs like Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc and other many companies comes at time of placement. 3) Average highest package around 10-12 lakhs will be offered and lowest will be around 3 lakhs per annum. Average package would be around 4 lakhs. 4) Approximately 70-80% students(eligible at the time of placements) get placed through campus placement. 5) I had decided to prepare for government competative exams in last year of engineering that's why I wasn't appeared for campus placement at that time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure (2024-25)....in Rs Open(General):- 109626 OBC/EWS/SEBC:- 64794 NT/VJ/SBC/TFWS:-19962 SC/ST:- 8126 J&K Students:- 32626 OMS Students:- 110126 This is the fees structure for the academic year 2024-25. As you will get scholarship from government although you are open category student if your parents income is below 8 lakhs. You can check the criteria for fees scholarship from government gr/websites.

Campus Life

2.5

1) Institute level Annual Function:- "Sinhgad Karandak" in the month of February. Induction Programme:- At the time of admissions. College level Annual Fest of 4-5 days every year which includes cultural days, games, seminars etc. 2) Big No for library of SITS. Very less number of books are available in library and there is no modern infrastructure is there for reading hall. 3) Facilities and technoloical provisions within classroom are average. 4) Extracurricular activities:- Yes, you will get good number of opportunities through out college life. Sports:- Big no....college doesn't have infrastructure at all for sports section. 5) Yes there were many students groups, clubs, portals present in college such as NSS, NCC etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel was very good as compared to other collges. Each room will be shared by 4 students. As the size of room was big enough so 4 memebers can easily adjust comfrtably. 1)Seperate toilet and bathroom for each room with all basic amenities such as geyser, shower, mirror etc. 2)24/7 water availability 3) Mess was descent but hygiene was properly maintained. 4) Simple admission process and I think hostel+mess for 70000 is good value for money deal. There are many other options also available outside college for girls and boys as well.

Admission

1) As I wasn't scored good enough in JEE so I couldn't get admission top engineering collges that time. Sinhgad Institute was good option for me because it's renowned institute in Pune and also has good placement record compared to other collges like JSPM, AISSMS etc. 2) Yes I got rejected from many institutes such as VIT, PICT, PCCOE due to low scores in entrance. 3) Admission procedure for college is according to guidelines given by State common entrance test cell. You have to appear for either JEE or State CET to be eligible for admissions.

Faculty

3

1) Good number of faculties were available in college. Earlier many experienced and student friendly faculties were present but since I left many new teachers have joined the college. Nowadays Faculties keep changing regularly in private enginnering collges is big issue. 2) Personally I didn't have any favourite faculty as most of them were student friendly and well spoken. 3) Threre are two insems and one final exam for each semester by university and in between college also conducts college level unit tests and pre semester exams.

Interview Experience

5

I hadn't appeared for any campus placement then as I started preparing for competative exams. I don't know much about placement process. Generally you will get placed atleast in one of the many companies.

Night Life

3

1)There are many gyms and other outlets for refreshment of students nearby college. 2) Girls in timing is 9 at night and boys can come late at around 11 pm. 3) Many hangout places are nearby college campus. Inside college most of the students prefers cafeteria.

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.
