Remarks
Admission to IIT Delhi happens through JEE Exam. The exam is conducted in two stages. First, the student needs to give JEE Mains and the students who qualify for jee mains are allowed to give jee advance. Then, after jee advanced, JOSSA is the agency that conducts counseling for admissions in IITs.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are very much qualified and well-known persons in their respective fields. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:15. The exams happen very frequently and use to be on the tougher side mostly and the average goes low.
Fees and Financial Aid
College fees are about 2.5 lahks per year excluding the hostel, but a tuition fee waiver is given to all the students whose family income is less than 5lpa. Scholarships like IITD Endowment Scholarship are given to meritorious students on the basis of their GPA.
Campus Life
There are a whole lot of fests. Rendevous is the biggest cultural festival organized by IIT D, Tryst is a tech-fest of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. These years both the fests are being organized in March. Library facilities are very good with about 800+ seating capacity.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year, I got a double sharing room in Shivalik House, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The food provided is Good. Hostel fees are also affordable. The room is a bit smaller than what you will expect.
