Greenery of the campus is attractive and peaceful.
Placements of the students is quite good.
The college on its own is quite reputed .

Dislikes

Long distance between classes and hostels.
No sports room in girls hostel creates problem.
The quality of water is quite low and we have to order bisleri

Course Curriculum Overview

The semester has become short so there should be a reduced number of class tests and more focus should be on mid-semesters. We have continuous tests and exams so it is very difficult to actually bear the stress of the exam. It is not that difficult to pass the exam.

Internships Opportunities

The opportunity of scholarship is commendable as they give a 100 per cent "institute fee" rebate to bright students who secure the top 5 percentile in their respective branchesPlacement opportunity of Nsut is almost next level as nearly every student gets placed depending on their skills.

The placements of NSUT are quite commendable. Almost 100% of the students get placed with a good amount of salary. Reputed companies come on campus like Google, Microsoft , sprinkler, TCS, Wipro and many more

Fees and Financial Aid

Nsut is a government institute still fees are very high compared to other government institutions. Also, many scholarships are also available but every student did not get a scholarship and also hostel fee is very high

Campus Life

The annual cultural fest of NSUT is Moksha held in the month of March. There are various societies that give us the platform to grow in every possible way like DEBSOC, ASHWAMEDH, ALLIANCE and IGTS. The infrastructure also is very good compared to other colleges

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is affordable with basic facilities like a water cooler, attached restrooms and balconies. There is no badminton court in Alaknanda hostel which is a problem for the hostellers who want to play. the process to get accommodation in the hostel was quite long.

Hostel Fee: INR 125000 per year

Admission

There should be more faculty members counselling the students. Considering the crowd at the time of admission, there should be more facilities for snacks and water other than amul. The members should be a bit friendly.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In each sem we have to give exams twice - mid terms and end terms. They are not much difficult the level is moderate. Teaching method is also good bit sometimes they are not able to complete the syllabus

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.

I applied for Dtu also and I was getting electrical engineering there and also in NSUT.But considering the distance I choose Nsut over Dtu as I live in Uttam nagar. The Hidden Truth of NSUT

The reason why I chose this college is a bit of personal reason. My two years of hard work didn't pay off well and I didn't want to go to a pvt college, I had made up my mind for that. I was also getting the same branch ICE in BITS too , but due to the reason that it is far away from my home was a bit challenging for me. Also I was getting ECE in Thapar but it was rejected it as the fee is really high. For NSUT, you need to give the JEE mains exam, and after that fill up the JAC counselling. For BITS we have BITSAT exam in which there are two attempts and the best of two counts. Similarly it has its own counselling. For Thapar , you can get admission on the basis of BOARDS score and JEE Mains score as well. The admission process is not that difficult , everything is online , from the fee payment to choice filling. But once the seat is alloted in a particular branch, you need to appear physically the the desired college, in which all the documents will be examined. If you fail to do so or if there is any disperency in the documents , seat will be cancelled immediately. So fill all the required details carefully....Read More
