Course Curriculum Overview

According to my rank in Jee advance and my interests I choose civil engineering at IIT Delhi. 1:18 is the approximate ratio. All the faculty members are highly qualified in their respective fields but the teaching methods are not up to the mark. Term exams occurred every 1 and a half months and were not too difficult to pass.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 238000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

the cost of study at IIT Delhi is not too high for the facilities and opportunities the college provides to the students. It provides a very good environment for the students to outgrow themselves with other excellent students and highly qualified professors. I didn't take any scholarship or Financial Assistance.

Campus Life

Rendezvous and Tryst are the two main fest which will be conducted in the month of march. There are a large variety of books available in the library for the students to study. Classrooms are well furnished and equipped with proper air conditioners. A large variety of sports facilities are available inside the campus. NSS, ENACTUS.

Admission

the admission process was very smooth and accurately done. All the required documents to be filled and all the forms to be filled out online were uploaded on the site. all the details were provided timely and every reservation benefit was informed earlier. no improvement is required.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

IIT Delhi is close to my hometown and is ranked no. 2. It offers best faculty in Chemical engineering. IIT Bombay was rejected because of inability of getting a good branch there.
