Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is up to date as provided by the government. I got this course ( Electronics and communication) from my respective rank, I didn't have any specific interest in this course. The student-to-faculty members are good. Every professor here holds the PhD degree. Thought they are extremely knowledgeable in their fields, but not every professor is able to make the class intresting and interactive. The exams are conducted very strictly and the compoulsry 75% attendance creierion increases the burden, but it's not a difficult task as the exam are not as hard as the jee mains exam.
Internships Opportunities
The college allows the 5th-semester students to sit in internships. Many companies appear to hire freshers in internships. The college also supports the students getting internship by loosening the strict rules like 75% attendance for them.
Placement Experience
The college provides excellent college placements, students can sit in placements after their 3rd year. The average package offered for Electronics and communication branch was 18 lakhs per annum. And the highest package was around 1.2 Cr for the CS branch. More than 200 companies visit for placements and very big company visits our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The academic fees of college for our batch i.e the batch of 2026, for the first year is Rs.219000 and it increases to Rs.10000 after every year the hostel fees for non-AC rooms for single seater are Rs. 51000 and for non-AC double seater is Rs. 49000 per semester (including the 19000 mess fees per semester) for AC rooms the hostel fees is almost Rs.60000(+ $750 mess fees) per semester. The college helps to provide the scholarship schemes from the government like the National Scholarship Program, E district scholarship, merit cum means scholarship etc. For a student loans, there is a branch of SBI inside the college campus.
Campus Life
College life at NSUT is very exciting, we get to meet a ton of amazing people with brilliant minds. And for every interest, there's a society from tech, sports, robotics, off-road racing, philosophy, photography etc. anyone can take part and excel in this society. The annual fest MOKSHA is among the best college fest in Delhi, students from different colleges come to attend it, and there are various tech fests held in college like HackNSUT, and TechWeek and many hackathons are held regularly. There are well-maintained grounds for Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, and Badminton and students participate in various events held in different colleges. The library is well equipped with every book and journal and has air-conditioned rooms. There is an app made by a society of college to check the student profile like attendance, marks, the notification from college etc in it.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is only allowed for students living outside Delhi. And the staff makes the hostel-allowing process very hectic and due to it many of my friends prefered PG near the college other than the hostel from the college itself. The rooms are well maintained and have a table, cupboard, a bed and a fan. The bathroom is cleaned every day and has a geyser installed. The food of the hostel mess is average in taste and is served till it's fixed time only and the mess committee decides the hostel menu. There are many PGs near the hostel with almost the same prize as of hostel.
Admission
For admission, one should clear jee mains examination and they could sit in the Joint Allocation Committee (JAC) to get any seats according to their rank. The application form for jee mains can be found on the website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The government colleges of Delhi provide 85% reserved seats for the candidates of the Delhi region. The only problem I faced with admission was that it was very slow compared to JOSAA.
