Robotics and Automation is a good course for a number of reasons. There is a growing demand for professionals with skills and knowledge in robotics and automation in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation. As technology continues to evolve, the need for experts in these areas is expected to increase.The demand for professionals with expertise in robotics and automation translates into high earning potential. Graduates with a background in these fields can expect to earn competitive salaries and may have opportunities for career advancement and leadership roles. Most of the faculty members are qualified with M.Tech, MBA, and Ph.D. (some are doing). Together, these qualifications make for a faculty member who is not only highly knowledgeable in their area of engineering or technology but also has a deep understanding of the business world and advanced research skills. All the exams are timely managed and some of the subjects are a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

The college provide several internship opportunities with and without stipend. Most of the companies take freshers as intern and IBM is one of the example. Trizlabs is a robotics based company which provide internship opportunities for highly talented and skilled students providing food and accommodation. Paid internships are also available including a PLC training program in the field of industrial automation, Fanuc robotics, etc.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placement in the 6th semester at the college. A variety of companies have visited the campus for recruitment, including TCS, Infosys, People 10, IBM, Speridian, Sharpponji pallonji, Hexaware Technologies, Eyerov Robotics, Sutherland, Federal Bank, SIB, Nebula Cloud, IBS and many other IT companies. The highest package offered was 12 LPA. The placement percentage for computer science students was 100%, while the overall placement percentage for all students was 60%. In total, the college has received over 500 job offers from various companies during campus placement drives.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee for studying robotics and automation is 75,000Rs(per year) and the admission fee is 26,000Ra, the total cost of studying the course would be the sum of the tuition fees and the admission fee. Therefore, the total cost of studying robotics and automation would be around 100000Rs. For SC/ST/OEC students, it is around 18000Rs only. It's worth noting that this is just the direct cost of tuition and admission. Students should also consider other expenses associated with attending college, such as textbooks, room and board, transportation, and personal expenses. Additionally, the cost of studying robotics and automation may vary depending on the institution and the location, so it's important to research and compare costs before making a decision on where to study. Several scholarships are provided for highly talented students who scored more than 85% marks in their higher studies. Students who scored 85-95% in HSE/CBSE/ISCE are able to apply for this scholarship.

Campus Life

The Physical Education department offers various amenities to support the physical fitness and well-being of students in order to help them cope with the demands of their professional courses. These facilities include a multi-purpose outdoor play area on the campus, where students can participate in a range of activities such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket, and track and field. There are also indoor games available, including table tennis, badminton, chess, and carom. Advay is the annual cultural-technical fest of Toc H Institute of science and technology. Advay has been a major hub uniting talented heads across Kerala, demonstrating a wide variety of cultural and technical events. Many other events are held every year by the social groups run by the students including NSS, IEDC TIST, TINKERHUB, GDSC TIST, KARMA TIST, and so on.

Admission

TocH institute of science and technology provide both bachelor's and master's course and also MBA. Those who are written the Kerala entrance examination (KEAM) has eligible for the course. Based on the marks scored on the entrance exam and the marks scored in the 12 grade, you can apply for the scholarship (25000-50000). Those who didn't write the entrance exam can also apply through the college website. Application forms and fee structures are provided on the website. Reservation benefits are provided for the students (SC/OEC) and the fee structure is different for them. Admission procedures are smooth compared to other colleges.

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
