Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I am a NEET aspirant, after being unqualified for NEET, I want to study medical courses, and I think doing BPharma from a central university is a better choice. The faculty are highly qualified, some teachers are passed out from IIT BHU, and some are gold medalists, I think you can't feel the lack of knowledge from the teachers. There are 14 teachers and faculty. You can see their qualifications in detail on the University's website. In semester 2 seasonal exam of 30 marks and one final exam of 75 marks are done.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, you can do internships with many companies like Sun pharmaceuticals, Cipla, gland pharma etc., but internships are non-paid. You have to manage your expenses on your own. And for hospital internships, you can do it from civil hospitals and medical colleges.

Placement Experience

2.5

After my admission means after 2021 there is placement in our department because it's closed for about 2 years due to COVID-19, I heard from my seniors there is placement happened in 2018-2019 and the average package is about 200000.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for one year are 41000 and it's decreasing year by year and the whole course fee is 1.5lakh. For financial support, you can apply for the Ishan Uday scholarship, NER region scholarship, minority scholarship, etc. Ishan Uday scholarship is the best financial assistance, it gives 75000 per year, the criteria is your whole family income is need to be below 4lakh.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest happens every year, also the departmental fest "Generix" happens every year. It's a 3-day fest. Campus life is average, the campus is very clean and natural, and Assam University is the host of many wildlife diversity.

Admission

In my time there is a two-way process to get into the course. Firstly they calculate the 25% of the Class 10th mark + 25% of the class 12th mark and the other 50% is covered by an entrance conducted by them. The entrance is MCQ type and 50 Mcq are there. For the application process, you have to check the university website Now the admission process is changed and it's done through CUET(common university entrance test). And there is no PI (personal interview). Out of 50 seats around 23 seats are for general students and the remaining are distributed among the Sc, St, Obc, and EWS quotas. I think now the admission process is good.

Other Applied Colleges

Assam Agricultural University - [AAU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Agriculture)

I think i am more potential on this course where i am currently studying

The students can also get a registration number which can be used to open a pharmacy like retail or wholesale.

The placements are okay okay. Not very good companies come to recruit students of final year. Only MBA students get a high package salary in a good company. Other departments don't get these much of placements as compared to MBA.

Admission:

After completing my 12th exam and scoring 90% I applied for this college online, they didn't ask me to write the entrance exam as my final score was above 50% and after few days they called me to submit my documents for further process, so overall it was an easy experience.
