IITD ...land of diversified opportunities

My course is a dual degree (btech plus mtech) in computer science and I opted for this course because of my interest in algorithms and architecture design. The faculty is really qualified and have many recognised patents and research projects The course is on time and averages from 1-2 months depending on the course and passing the course is not tough it's the grade All you need is 30+ and you will be passed but getting a good grade is not an easy task.

All the companies which come for placement, most of them also provide placement opportunities and further work opportunities Many students also go for summer coding school or research projects under the professor

The student in the final year after the 7th semester is eligible for placements There are roughly 800-1000 offer's made Every time which includes companies like Jane Street, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and many others About 90+ percentage students get placed for sure every time Most people looks for research and development fields or for the finance and banking sector Many also go for further studies at ivy league colleges

The fees structure is for an academic plus non-academic plus hostel ( 238000+ 60000) The fees hike is something student protest against but IITD is one of the most affordable IITs among all others The cost to study also includes monthly expenses which vary from 3000-4000 There are many scholarships present but they have criteria One can get a student loan on the spot using the college tag and brand name

The annual fest is Rendezvous and the tech fest is a tryst And they both occur close to each other in the month of March There are 2 libraries one is for academics and it's really huge and the other is a small Library of the literature club consisting of many novels, comics, and story books. The sports facilities are really good and the annual GC and inter IIT are something to look forward for There are many groups under recreational activities led by students

We have been provided with a fan almirah table and bed The overall room is simple but clean and sufficient The mess food is pretty good on most days and not something to fuss about The registration for a hostel is hasty only on the first-day rest is automatically done by the administration

The admission process was through JEE advanced And the eligibility for the course is checked by the JOSAA counselling The application form is released on the NTA website And on jee advanced website respectively Application fees are 600 and 2400 respectively The form is released generally around December Yes reservation was available in the form application and counselling process One thing they can improve is the variance in the JEE mains paper which affects many students annually
