Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE because it is the most trendy course and the average package and future prospects are the highest for this branch. Also, the college is probably the best in the country so choosing CSE here was a no-brainer. Faculty are very highly qualified and most of them have excelled in research in their respective fields. They teach very well and are eager to help students, given that the students want to seek their help. Exams are scheduled properly and are kind of tough.
Placement Experience
The placements at IIT Delhi need no introduction and are the best in the industry. Quant, Tech, Consult, etc. Top companies from each field come here to grab the smartest brains in the country. The highest packages go into crores and any student who works decently during the four years can stay ensured that he will get a very good placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike per year is normally relatively low. Students in need of financial assistance are already subsidised in the fees. They have to pay much lower fees as compared to a normal student. There are normally many scholarships that are granted on merit as well as needs basis. Best performers are rewarded with a small stipend every semester.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest of the college rendezvous, also known as RDV is probably the highest and most esteemed cultural fest in the country. Many artists from around the country come here to perform and show their talent. Facilities are also world-class for students to pursue their passion in any field. The library is state of the art and is one of the largest in the country. The classrooms are air-conditioned and very comfortable.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are moderately good. If you are expecting to live a decent and modest life, you will not be disappointed. There are all the facilities for you to lead a proper and comfortable life with occasional disturbances that are beyond your control. Hostels are allotted to all UG students who pay the hostel fees. The mess menu is updated regularly and the quality is satisfactory to good.
Admission
I took JEE Advanced 2021 and got a CRL rank in the 300s. I availed GEN EWS reservation for getting admission. Application forms and dates are normally released around October each year on the official JEE website under the notices section. Application fees are normally less than 3000 for JEE Advanced. According to me, the admission process is very apt.
