Course Curriculum Overview
I am interested in tech placements and despite it being a core branch, I chose ICE as I have heard about students from ICE in the past, cracking handsome tech placements in terms of salary and perks. The faculty-student ratio is decent. Faculties are very much qualified and knowledgeable and adopt great teaching methods to explain concepts to students. In each semester, two exams are held - mid-sem exams and end-sem exams. Exams are quite easy to crack and one can achieve very good marks just by studying 2 weeks before the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Many good companies come to college for providing internship opportunities like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Visa, etc giving decent stipends of at least a minimum of 75k per month. Some projects involving knowledge of webd, appd, etc. are required to be made and good coding skills are also required to crack the internship opportunities
Placement Experience
The placement scenario is decent. From 3rd-year students start getting placed and from 2nd year, students start getting internships. Many big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Sprinklr, etc. have come to the campus and offered packages as huge as 50 lacs. The average package to date after combining all the placements across all the branches has been 12 lacs for 1 year. From our course, 60-80 per cent of the students have got placed in 2022. After getting the degree, I aim to get a good tech job.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees per year are roughly 2.5 lakh rupees. Merit-cum-means(MCM) and other such scholarship schemes are available. Financial assistance is given to students belonging to poor families. Campus jobs are easy to get if one has the right skills and maintains a good CGPA so that he/she can be shortlisted for the companies' interview.
Campus Life
Life is amazing on campus. Moksha the annual fest is one of the biggest college fests in Delhi and it is generally conducted in the month of March. Most academic books are available in the library and you may find several journals as well. All the necessary amenities like charger sockets, wifi, air conditioner, and comfortable seating benches are available in classrooms, at least in the first year. A huge sports campus is available at the campus which contains areas for many sports to play like football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, cricket, table tennis, lawn tennis, kabaddi, etc. Many societies such as the coding society(IEEE), robotics Society (ARES), and entrepreneurship soc(E-Cell) are very much active in the college.
Admission
To be eligible for the course, I had to secure a rank under 40k in JEE Mains, which was quite a challenge, but I managed to get a 34k rank and got admitted. Application forms, fees and dates are available on the JAC Delhi website. 85% of seats are reserved for Delhi candidates and as usual reservation of SC/ST/OBC/Person with Disability/Defence is there.
