Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As cse was in boom and I love coding I chose btech in computer science and engineering. The student-to-faculty ratio 20:1. The faculty members are good, friendly, and well-experienced, and they make the students think and innovate on their own. The course curriculum is designed by highly qualified teachers, and hence it is well-curated for higher studies and the GATE exam. Dislikes We have very talented and experienced teachers in our college, but the main problem is that we have several temporary faculty than permanent faculty. Term exams are monthly and exams are tough as compared to northern colleges.

Internships Opportunities

5

This year 311 students got the internship. Students get a stipend from 25000 to 1.5 lakh per month in various roles. Companies like Amazon, Google, and many more And all students from all branches can get an internship on campus

Placement Experience

5

From semester 7, students are eligible to sit for on-campus placement. Very big MNCs visit our college and some of them are Google, Amazon, Meta, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, and many more... Every student who sat for placement is placed with an average salary of 20LPA in the Computer Science Department in the 2022 year. The placement percentage is 100 for CSE 193 companies visited and 1143 students got placed with an average salary of 12.58lakhs and 95.45 percent of students are placed in college. The highest package is 67.62 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

But generally, fees hike every year which I think is not a good thing. Students who are allotted a seat at the National Institute of Technology Calicut have to deposit the NIT Calicut fees to confirm their admission. Fees of NIT Calicut include various charges like admission fees, tuition fees, hostel rent, and others. The fees of NIT Calicut are divided into several components, of which a few are paid annually while some are a one-time payment. The fee structure of NIT Calicut is the same for undergraduate and dual degree courses. NIT Calicut fees are different for Indian and foreign students. NIT Calicut fees can be paid online mode There are many scholarships available for students based on their merit and income and caste Some of them are Merit Cum Means Scholarship E-Grantz Central Sector –Top Class For SC Scholarship to students from another state Online Scholarships from other states Scholarships by Various Foundations Merit Scholarships by Corporates SPDC Scholarship to DASA/CIWG Students

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest in NIT CALICUT named RAGAM occurs annually in March and the tech fest named TATHVA which happens in October is one of the biggest tech fests in South India. There is a big library with lots of all kinds of books and updated with latest journals in digital library and books are also brought into on demand of students. Classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated with clean benches and every room has a projector. Students can participate in any sport they like, there are equipment and grounds available for every type of sport and students can also participate in INTER-NIT. There are many clubs and social groups in NIT CALICUT which are all run by students. Like Enquire Club, Indian Cultural Association, Dance and Dramatics Club, Library and Debate Club, Pixel Club, and Film Club.....

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Every room which is given to first-year students can accommodate four students and it has two lights, two fans, four beds, three charging slots, and three shelves with four desks and four chairs. Rooms are enough spacious for three people but four will live in that room. But you get great rooms from the second year onwards. In the second year and third years, you get two people room which is very neat and new. In the fourth year, you get your room. There are nearly ten messes on campus and students can eat in whichever mess they want and can also opt out of mess. Mess food is not so great and not so bad, it is average and can get boring easily as they don't change menus. You can register for a hostel along with college admission. You get a link to pay for college fees at the start itself which is refundable after four years and has a monthly fee of 3000 (approx) and every student gets a room. Every room has two mallu's and two other state students in the first year and we can choose our room partner in second year

Admission

Candidate who have passed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, and 2022, or those who are appearing in the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2023, are also eligible to appear The process of submitting the JEE Mains 2023 registration form includes completing the registration, filling in the application form, uploading the necessary documents, and making the application fee payment. JEE Main 2023 registration fee has been raised. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
