Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

So if you want to about the course curriculum then I will be clear on these things. In Computer Science and Engineering, the course has a total of 8th semesters and 4 years to get a degree. In these 4 years, you must have gone through many more examinations and lots of CA assessments. CA assessment was mostly designed by the university. You have to go with a total of 4 CA every semester. I have chosen this course because there is a lot of subjects I have interested in, and the computer was fascinating stuff. If you want to know about faculty then faculties are for your subjective studies. Faculty are highly qualified and committed to their work. Student and faculty ratio would be 3:4 means 30 faculty staff and 120 students. Faculty teaching methods were basic and average. Every semester was happen on 6th months later. So if you study hard and continue to attend class then you pass very easily. Nowadays exams was quite tough.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement at Makaut college is quite good but related to other colleges it was a very poor placement for sure. Through the campus placement, just a few students got selected but most of them are not selected. If want to know about the exact semester when you placed then it varies from student to student. If you are in 3rd year and preparing for clearing the interview round then you will clear in the third year. But if you are not prepared yourself then don't get placed in the final semester. They visited companies TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. But most of the company's interview process shifts to offline. In this college every year 60 to 70 percent of students got placed in the CSE field. So the placement is not attractive for you. But if you want to choose a higher degree after then it was the best option for you. My plan was to get a job off campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was a little bit high. If you are in 1st year then your first-year fees would be around 50000. And If you take a hostel it will add up to an extra 23000 to 25000. But if you score high in twelve standards and are eligible for a Government Scholarship then it would be great for you. Swami Vivekanand Scholarship is a popular scholarship that most students got. But if you crack another private sector scholarship then you also take advantage of it. But if you look for financial assistance in college then you can't find out anyone because you should decide on your own. In the ongoing course if you crack an internship you also get a stipend from it. So you should always explore things to get out a financial solution.

Campus Life

3.5

So first, I am going to be clear about campus life , Campus life was very good. Because you will see lots of fun was happen on playground and fest. So you will be familiar with the term Fest which will be held every year. Annual sports and games are also attractive things in which you can participate on them. Every year happen this activity. In this college, you will find some digital classrooms. A massive central library was held on campus, so you can mostly benefit from the service of the free book. The classroom has a total of 120 seats and facilities for students. Sports and extracurricular activities were happening on campus. Club and social group you didn't find out on campus, but off campus, you can take part any of it.

Admission

If you want to know about a government college then Makaut is one of them. In this college has many advantages and disadvantages about this campus, courses, and many more. Actually, you will see most of the west Bengal engineering colleges took admission through an entrance exam. The entrance exam is the west Bengal joint entrance or wbjee. An algorithmic process happened after your counseling through your rank. So you should always focus on better rank. Your rank must be under 1000 to 3000 to get a government college. Especially if you want to be eligible for a computer science degree then must hold around 1000 to 1500 rank. Application forms and application fees are everything you find out on the college's official website. So you go through this website and check every satisfied condition. I am seeing a massive improvement in the counseling algorithm. The most deserving student doesn't get into any good college with this algorithm.

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
