All about NITIE - GOD'S OWN CAMPUS

I chose this course as it is equivalent to M.B.A. and pursuing post-graduation an MBA opens up a lot of opportunities. The faculty-to-student ratio is about 1:20. The course curriculum is moderate to hard. We have ten subjects in each module. There are a total of four modules each year. In the first year, there is an internship process in the fourth module. Exams are given twice in each module: one in the mid and the other at the end of each module. Qualification of the professors: PH.D. with the first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate specialization with excellent academic record throughout. They must also have at least three years of experience in teaching, research, and industrial experience, excluding the experience, gained while pursuing PH.D.

The college provides a summer internship process in which more than 100 companies visit in the first module and select the students based on their performance in the selection process. The companies offer a maximum of 3 lahks per month stipend and an average stipend of 1.85 lacs per month. The internship starts in the fourth module and its duration is of about 2 months. The roles offered by the company include operations, finance, and marketing based on the company's requirements and domain. The companies also offer pre-placement offer based on the student's performance during the internship.

The college provides 100% campus placement. The students become eligible for campus placement from the sixth semester onwards. Some students get pre-placement offers from their internship companies based on their performance during the internship. More than 100 companies visit the campus for the placement consisting of IT, manufacturing, operations, finance, and marketing sector. The companies include Amazon, Pepsico, Mondelez, ICICI Bank and many other well-reputed companies visit the campus each year and recruit students. There is no chance of getting a placement offer at NITIE.

The fee structure of the course per year is given below: Academic Charges - 4,25,000 facilities Charges - 1,45,000 Student Welfare and Alumni activities charges - 70,000 Hostel Charges - 60,000 The scholarships such as IDFC buddy scholarships ( offer 1,00,000 per year for two years basis on the student's financial background) are provided to give financial assistance to the students. In addition to these, the student also gets a summer internship of 2 months with an average stipend of 1.85 lahks per year. The placement record of NITIE is excellent. It provides 100% placement with an average salary of 24 lahks per annum.

Life at NITIE, Mumbai, is awesome. There are numerous events that are conducted, including Avartan ( consists of business talks by industry experts, DJ nights, and Fresher parties) , Sansmaran (Alumni meet), various sports events like basketball tournaments, and many more. There are various clubs and committees that are run by students at NITIE, including the cultural committee, sports committee, alumni committee, international relations cells, and many others. The total collection of the library is around 82384 which includes technical/reference books, bound volumes of journals, light reading books, and many others.

To get admission in the PGDIE course at NITIE, Mumbai, one has to qualify for the GATE entrance exam with over 700 GATE scores. The application process starts in the month of march. The application fee for every program at NITIE is Rs 1000. Thereafter they shortlist the candidates on the basis of GATE score for further admission process. After shortlisting the candidates on the basis of GATE scores, they conduct GDs and PIs. The students get their admission on the basis of their performance in GDs and PIs. At my time, the interview process was completely online and there was no GD process due to COVID-19.
