Course Curriculum Overview

IIT is a dream place for millions of students. The ratio of girls to boys ratio in IIT Dharwar is 1/4, there are about 300 seats in the UG batch out of which there is something 60 girls in our batch Exam at IIT is very common you get an exam every month, quizzes, mid sem, and end sem, and they all are so hectic

Campus placements are provided to students in there 3rd year of the course I guess Almost all companies visit IIT Dharwad, I don't know much about placement The highest package offered at IIT Dharwad is 55lpa and the average package of IIT Dharwad is about 13 lia The percentage of students getting placements in cse, electrical and mech are 100, 92 and 60% respectively. There is a 100% placement record of IIT Dharwad In cse

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition Fee for a general student at IIT Dharwad is 1 lakh per sem and 25k for other expenses which include hostel and mess food, if you belong to SC and ST caste then there is total remission in tuition fee and you have to pay only for mess food and hostel. If you belong to general and obc and your family income is less than 1 lakh then there is a total remission in tuition fee and if your family Income is less than 5 LPA then you get a remission of 2/3 of tuition fee

Campus Life

There are not many fests in IIT Dharwad as expected, IIT Dharwad has an annual fest 'PARSEC'. It is a tech-orientated fest held in March every year We have a huge library which contains almost every genre of book which has at least 10 copies per book you can take the book to the room after getting issued by the librarian Classrooms at IIT Dharwad in not soo good but yes it is sustainable IIT Dharwad has all sports clubs if you are interested in any game, you will get 100 support from college authorities Despite all, we have a cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, lawn Tennis and two volleyball court

Hostel Facilities

I am allocated a room in a newly made hostel at the permanent campus of IIT Dharwad which is still under construction, as of hostel we now have a Co-Ed hostel as we have only a hostel which is completely made, we Have a warden who doesn't care what we do in the hostel he is just for formalities, girl hostel have floor wise warden There is no different registration process for the allotment of a hostel it is included in the registration process at the time of admission

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

If you want to get admission to IIT Dharwad you must go to the jee advanced paper which is difficult as hell. I came to know about IIT in class 11 through my school teacher, As I am a bright student at my school my teacher suggest I write the entrance exam for IIT A total of 59.5 of IIT seats are reserved, There are only 40.5 seats for General Student

Placement Experience:

This is the best part. The whole point of niat program is to get a study for the job. It's not like the old system where you chill for 3 years and panic in the 4th year. All the learning here are very different. From the first day itself we will be doing coding.

Over all IIT Dharwad is good not bad

I choose this college because I got computer science branch in IIT and fees is also low for me as a middle class student because I search in other nit have 2 lacks fee for one year for sc and fill this fee at the starting but here I fill 58500 in 1st sem and remaining in 2nd semester so it's And I applied for IIT Bombay here I choose chemical engineering but required rank is 679bbut my is 927 that's why not selected. And admission process of iit dharwad is very smooth if students selected in joosa rounds so fill the fee throgh online before reaching the college and submit required documents like 10th 12 marksheet aadhar card pan card fee receipt and joosa admission letter that's it admission done...Read More

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
