Course Curriculum Overview

The quality of the faculty is good. The curriculum of VTU is more or less the same for all colleges but since this college is autonomous it has some benefits to decide its syllabus, although it is still old and lacks in some fields. The faculty are mostly Associate professor and holds a strong grasp of their field. The exams are held at the scheduled time and quizzes and assignments are as usual as in other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Internships in campus and out of campus both are available and are being availed by many. Companies such as Twillio, Amazon, and Shell provide well-paid Internships with a stipend of around 50 to 60 thousand. The students of the college are provided with a variety of job offers from a tester to a developer to a consultant.

Placement Experience

The students are getting good placements from the college and it is having one of the best campus placements. The highest placement is around 50 LPA and the average is around 8Lpa. The students start to get placement in the second half of the third year. Companies such as TCS, Amazon Infosys, Accenture, and Cisco are the highest recruiting companies. Around 80 to 85 percent of students are getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are mostly controlled by Comedk and fixed at the time of admission of the student for other years but other fees such as university fees and exam fees are collected mostly separately. The process is all online and there are multiple options through which one can pay their fees. Scholarships are available for all but some special scholarships are for girl students. Internships are available for students and many paid Internships are there for third and fourth-year students.

Campus Life

There are three fests that are held on campus in which the main fest Halcyon is the biggest and most interesting. There are other events that keep coming up all year like IIT Bombay's club COR, IEEE, etc. The social life is not as par the colleges of Bangalore but there are many clubs and groups through which one can learn and enjoy like theaters, dancing, and bands. The college's library is just okay as it contains only course books and some technical magazines but lacks literature. There is a stadium, a gym, and an Indore badminton ground available in the college.

Hostel Facilities

There are in total five hostels including three boys' and two girls' hostels. Hostels are fine and well-equipped with wifi. The mess food is average and includes a mix of both northern and southern dishes but students from north India faces problems in acquiring the taste. The process of accommodation of rooms is online and based on first cum first serve system.

Hostel Fee: INR 76000 per year

Admission

The process to get into this college or any other affiliated college under VTU is either Comedk or Kcet. If you are a student from outside of Karnataka you have to get through Comedk or management seat quota. The exam and applications all are done by Comedk. But this process is being checked and may be changed in near future as a unified exam for all the students. The cut-off for Computer science and technology was around 6000 rank in 2021.

My College Story

Placement Experience:

Students in my college have a very good amount of campus placements where students become eligible from the final year 7th semester however the placement cell starts training from the 1st year means 1st semester itself like training for aptitude test, coding and mock interviews. Top it companies like TCS infosys, wipro, Accenture, capgemini, cognizant, IBM, tech mahindra mind tree. The campus receives 300+ offers. The average package 8 - 10 LPA and highest package 54 LPA. Every year 90% students are placed. After my degree i am planning to higher studies in abroad.

My College Story

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is generally detailed and aligned with industry Expectations but there is still scope for modernisation in certain areas.Overall i would like to rate 8/10. The syllabus include both theoretical and multiple lab components which ensures hands on learning. The practical labs like programming work and project with learning help students understand how concepts are applied in real work places. A few theory heavy subjects feel outdated and no longer match the current industry demand this could be revised or replaced.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, but the overall placement scenario in DSCE for CSE is below average. Not even 50% of students get placed in good companies. Most students end up getting offers from mass recruiters or in sales and non-tech roles. Only a small percentage of top performers get decent technical packages. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and a few mid-tier companies visit the campus, but the number of high-package, core-tech roles is very limited. The average package is on the lower side compared to other top COMEDK colleges. Because of this, many students plan for higher studies, certification courses, or off-campus drives after completing the degree. The on-campus placement support definitely needs improvement, especially for technical roles.”

My Honest College Experience at CIT(Cambridge Institute of Technology)

Placement Experience:

The students who are studying in 7th semester ( final year) are eligible for campus placements but before that in 5th semester there is pre placement training like aptitude everything. Top companies visit for placement like TCS , infosys, wipro, accenture, capegemini, IBM, techmahindra, Mindtree. Average there are 150-250 offers. Average package is 7-8 lpa. The highest package is 54 lpa at botify company. 85 % of students get placed at cse branch and ai amd ml and civil 30 - 50% . Overall 80% students gets placed. My plan is join a top product based company liek google with a good life.

Placements are the only bad thing about the college . Average ctc is only 4 lakhs per annum and only handful of students get actual placement.and rest get placed in either call center or training companies

A complete discipline with education

Placement Experience:

The placement are good average packages 8 lakhs highest packages 35 lakhs and the companies include Google ,Microsoft ,service now companies and usually internships are provided as students become eligible for internship after 3rd year percentage of students getting placement 80% my plans still not yet decided

- Talking about me choosing this college over other colleges is because Siddaganga Institute of Technology comes in the top 10 colleges in the entire Karnataka and also has an NIRF ranking below 100. - I had applied various other colleges in Bangalore, but my ranking from KCET was 10,072 which was too high as per the cutoff put by those colleges so I couldn't get colleges in Bangalore and I landed in here. - I didn't get any rejections from other colleges as I had a good ranking in KCET exam along with an aggregate of 93.3% in my 12th. It was just the cutoff of the colleges that made me land in this college and I don't regret being here as I am happy that I am in one of the best colleges in Karnataka. - The admission procedure is simple. If you are coming through KCET or ComedK, then the seats will be alloted by the respective board and these students just come with the required or mentioned documents and just come and do admission in here.
