Remarks

I applied for admission using the JEE MAINS exam which happens in two shifts Jan and April. After that, you need to fill out JAC Delhi counseling. The timing usually changes every year so keep checking the JAC Delhi site regularly. You must rank lower than 10000 to get a computer science-related stream in the general category. Every detail related to fee structure and application fees is available on the JAC Delhi website.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am currently enrolled in computer science and data science course. Since this is the new course, the course curriculum is not that well defined but neither that bad. It's on the average side. Most of the faculty members are good but some do not care much about it. The faculty is well qualified and most of the staff is new to our stream so they teach according to the latest trend but some never took teaching seriously it's just their job they need to finish. There are mid sem and end-semester examinations. Mid-semester is usually easy to compare to the end-sem examination rest depends on us how well we are prepared. I choose the data science course since data is the most valuable asset at the current time.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship opportunity is average. There are big names that come to offer internships with very good stipend. But the number of students getting an internship is less. If you are prepared well you will get an internship offer for sure.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students are eligible for campus placements in the 7th semester and internships in the 5th semester. A large number of companies visit campus to offer placements. The number of companies offering internships is low compared to it. The exact number of companies coming is not available since NSUT doesn't disclose them but it's quite good. Usually, 95 percent of students get placed with an average package of 1200000. The highest package is offered by Atlassian. I am also looking to get a good placement and join a good MNC.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fee is around 200000 per year, so it adds up to 800000 for the complete course. Fees don't hike much each year, usually 10000. There are many government scholarships you can opt for but they are usually applicable only if you fall under some special conditions. There are many conditions so check that carefully to avail them. Other than that there are good placement opportunities available. A large number of companies visit campus and offer internships and placements to students.

Campus Life

4

Life on the campus is quite fun. You get a lot of free time to explore various different stuff. There is a large number of societies or clubs you can join in various different fields related or art, culture, dramatics, dance, music, etc. The annual fest of the college is moksha which usually happens in the month of March, it is 3 days long and welcomes some big industry artists. Other than there is also an intra-college fest named resonance which is usually in the month of November and is not as big as moksha but quite fun. NSUT has a very big library containing all the required books in all the fields you can think of. NSUT has all the sports facilities whether it is an outside or inside sport but only a single badminton court which is always busy.

Hostel Facilities

4

In hostel in mostly cases you are provided single room , in few cases double room. The quality of food provided is average and hostel has limited seats which is mostly provided to outside delhi students. At start of each semester you can apply for hostel and wait for list which has enrolled students name in it. Even if you are not provided hostel, there are large number of PG available near hostels. They are well maintained and affordable too. PG are available on old palam road which is near nsut.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
