Remarks

Eligibility- 12th Pass Student with. Application form, Application fees, and application dates are available on the main website of GGSIPU: www.ipu.ac.in I am not sure about the reservation as I was not eligible for reservation benefits. The admission process went very smoothly. Although, it would be great if the admission process fastens up a bit.

I chose BA Hons Economics as my undergraduate course because I am interested in studying the practical applications of Economics and I have always found economics a very logical and interesting subject. Also, I also believe that studying economics Hons will also improve my critical thinking skills in the long term along with allowing me to pursue a Master's in Economics in the future. Faculty-Student Ratio- The Faculty Student Ratio in our college is Approximately 45:1. Qualification of Faculty- Our Faculty is highly qualified. Also, the way of teaching is very good. Our teachers focus on conceptual clarity and practical knowledge of their respective subjects.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 123000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is Approximately 3.49 lakhs in total for my course. The First Year fee is Rs 1,23,000 including security charges. As for now, I have not availed any of the scholarships or financial assistance from the college.

Campus Life

Our college is very active in organizing fests with also inviting a lot of participation from students. As for now, Diwali fest and Ethnic Fest have been organized for our new batch. We are also going to have a fresher's party in the month of January. The library of our college offers a lot of books from many different categories and genres, from motivational and self-help books to financial literacy and even classic literature. Our library also provides us the facility of issuing academic books every semester at our convenience. The classrooms of our college have a lot of amenities. We have a very well-organized seating arrangement. We also have Air Conditioners in each of our classrooms. Along with that, we also have smartboard and projector facilities in the classrooms. Our College is very active in conducting sports and extracurricular activities. There are a lot of so clubs in our college which are proactive and they encourage even the 1st year students to participate.

Consulting & Research : McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group (BCG) , Bain & Co., L.E.K. Consulting, and ZS Associates Finance & Banking: DE Shaw, Barclays, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and PwC?Tech & Others: Accenture Strategy, Zomato, Deloitte, EY, and United Airlines. Approximately 60–90% of the students from the Economics and Commerce departments who actively register for placements successfully secure an offer. while the number takes a drastic changd in field of science. My plan is get placements in bank.

As a athlete myself i always had a intrest in physical education as it defines key aspects of my career and my body so learning physical education was always in one of my interests the faculty for this is really encouraging and helps in whatever expects i need . Coming to philosophy it defines the way of life and how one should act or live in his or her life so as an athlete learning philosophy was nice aspect for me as it will tell the way how i should act and be in real life , the curriculum also helps me in real world applications the physical education helps me to learn about my body and how to take care of it and how to repair it if a injury happens coming to philosophy it makes me calm and helps in decision making , for me the curriculum is upto date just there once thing that I want to be done is that more practical experience in physical education especially. Per sem there are done 2 exams and there difficulty level is moderate.

IPCW Pros and cons

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've choose economics honour as economic was my favorite moreover it can be applied in real that's what makes it more attractive. Economic honour curriculum is nice till I've studied (I've completed 3 sems) , but for real world application college should make some more efforts not just ipcw but DU needs to enhance the syllabus. I'm gonna suggest that teacher should be less oriented towards reading and tells more about real economy and then tell us the concepts so we can understand better. There will always be class test going on in one subject atleast as we've 7 subjects (3 core and 4 additional) but additional subjects are way easy so mostly we focus on core subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course teaches about everyday aspect of economics. The microeconomics theories, the macroeconomic theories, the statistical methods of economics, the econometrics methods, the mathematical methods of economics, international economics, environmental economics, Indian Economic Development theories and everything. All these subjects will help the students to make their way ahead in the field of economics. The curriculum includes the real life applications of the theories which makes the theories relatable for the students. I think curriculum structure should eliminate the extra subjects like VAC or SEC and focus on the core subjects because these extra subjects usually waste the time of the students which they can contribute in their core subjects. I think the schedule of the exams cancelled be made better.

Placement in Kirori Mal College is very good, other course is history based and side course is also based. Right now it is my 1st year so I have not yet made any rounds to any company for placement. Not everyone gets placement, at least not in high percentage. I have not thought much about this topic, so I cannot tell you anything about it right now.

Good opportunity in JIMS

I applied for Rajagiri in Kerala and got into it, then was waiting for MHCET but the results kept on getting delayed, then I also got into JIMS, BIMTECH as well but due to budgetary issues and placements the best option was JIMS. I wanted to get into symbiosis but my Snap score wasn't that great. NMAT also my marks were good but not that good for taking admissions in top 3 colleges of narsee munji. The admission process of JIMS is very simple, you just have to apply through their website and pay the application fees, then you will get the mail for documents such as 10th, 12th marksheet, CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/NMAT/SNAP (whichever is applicable), graduation certificate/degree, work experience certificate(in case), copy of application form and admit card for Campus tour, GD, PI process which happens on 1 day. For those living in Delhi and NCR can go and visit the campus for these process , and for those outside of DELHI NCR can give the process online. Within 2-3 days you will get the mail for the results. Then after few weeks you will have to pay 1st installment fees to secure you seat in that course....Read More

An honest review (JIMS Rohini Sec-5)

I got admission to 2 colleges IITM Janakpuri and Jims Rohini, and I opted for Jims because of the ranking + placement records, and more profound environment like it's known for PGDM so that alumnus is also very good. Which we can reach out to in future for professional guidance. I didn't get rejected as I only applied for 3-5 but 3 in which I didn't get admit is because their cutoff of IPUCET is 600-700 and my score is 1005.
