Remarks
The admission process is quite smooth and easy. You should have proper documents and it will take no longer time. For a general category student, you should have more than 96 percentile to secure a seat at any branch. Application forms are available on the college's website. Reservation is provided to students whose per annum income is less than 700000.
Course Curriculum Overview
To be honest, i didn't choose this course, I just got it. The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good, there are different professors for different sections of the same subject. The teaching method is not so fancy, it is the same as what a normal college has. There are two mid-term exams in a semester. It's not so difficult to pass them. If you would study a day before the exam, you will easily score passing marks.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are provided in the 5th sem of your college. After 2021, there is a decrease in companies that offers on-campus internship to students. But still, 40-45 companies came this year. The stipend varies from 10000 to 125000 per month.
Placement Experience
Placements are started during the 7th semester of your college. Many companies visit the college including big tech companies like Amazon, Flipkart, MS, Google, Samsung etc. The highest package was 60 lacs and the avg package is around 8 lack. 70-80% of students get placed while many go to abroad for higher studies or have other plans like M.TECH OR MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on your family's per-annum income. If it is more than 500000 Rs then your per semester fees will be 77000 Rs. For less than 500000, per semester fees will be 35000 and for less than 100000, the fees are very minimal. There are many scholarships and financial assistance for students. On-campus jobs are provided with an average stipend of 8 lack per annum.
Campus Life
The annual fest Confluence at NIT KKR is held in October which is pretty good. The library at the college has many books, you just need your student id card to get the books. Sports and extracurricular activities are highly supported in the college. You would see every other person involved in such activities. It not just makes your college life fun but also adds value to your personality. There are many clubs and societies which are run by students only. There are cultural societies, technical societies, dance crews etc. Students can join these clubs by giving inductions. The only bad thing about campus life is that is located in a rural area and there are very limited hangout spots nearby.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are pretty clean and in good condition. Girls hostel are better than boys hostel. Single-seater rooms are provided with a balcony and basic furniture. Washrooms are very clean in the girls' hostel but you cannot expect the same in the boys' hostel. Mess food is okayish. It is not bad. Hostel room rent is 1200 Rs per month excluding the mess bill which is around 4000 rs per month
