Remarks

On the whole it was good with lot of restrictions ,we feel it is not worth for the amount of money we paid.

it was ok ok .but the subjects and their curriculum was very tough.it was not easy to score the marks and the correction was tough.getting good grades is really tough

every one used to get placed but the packages people who got the good packages are very less,but we can say it was good and better than many normal colleges

College Events

there used be only one event that is called as AMRITA KALANJALI .and few small events which happen once in a month

it was bit expensive,and not up to the mark with the infrastructure of AMRITA college

It used be 1:1 there is no much biasing in the aspect of gender ratio.But girl and boy cant perform together on the stage during any event

It was sharing based Hostel rooms ,it was 4 per room ,Food was ok ok ,not to the standards of the money we paid

As i passed out in 2016 we are attending the Alumni for the first time so not sure about the Alumni standards.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was very tough ,it seems like all the year we are preparing and giving exams,and the portions used to be very much and correction used to be very strict

in the college we get to know about the exam and college people and friends insisted on writing this exam.We are supposed to attend an exam and give it. with the secured rank we gave the counselling

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

Placement Experience:

At IIT Dharwad, students become eligible for campus placements right after their 7th semester(i.e. after the start of 4th year) and during their 3rd year, students also have opportunities to sit for internships which can later convert to PPOs. The companies that have visited our campus are Adobe, Amazon, Texas, TCS, wipro etc. The highest CTC offered was 55LPA and average package for CSE is 18-20LPA, and for the core branches is around 10-15LPA. In CSE more than 93% of the students got placed and many of other students opted for higher studies . In the core branches the placement percentage was around 85-88%. After My degree, I plan to go for a Software Engineer role.

My life in Amrita as an Undergraduate

I applied to PESU in bengaluru, i wanted CSE but got into ECE so i chose AI and DS in Amrita over ECE in PESU. Also fees was lesser in Amrita compared to PESU. I wanted to apply for MIT, bangalore but since the college was very far and the fees was huge i diidnt apply, plus i already got into amrita by then. And since i am from bangalore and didnt want to leave the place i didnt try for colleges outside of bangalore. The admission process for my college is either through the entrance exam conducted by them which is AEEE or through JEE. I got in through JEE since it was better than my AEEE score. with a rank below 3k students might get into slab 1 for any course if they are from bangalore due to local quota....Read More
