As the college is newly setup, not that it wasn't running before, its just the three year LLB course which was started last year. The three Year LLB course isn't properly planned out.
Entrance Preview
We had to give a Writing Sample followed by a Personal Interview. The score wasn't shared but i ranked 40th among the 100 something students selected. I opted for this college particularly because there are already very less colleges offering the 3 year llb course and Symbiosis offers the best and is also ranked 4th all over india according to the India Today rankings.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is personally designed by the Director Dr. Shashikala Gurpur. She takes keen interest in every matter related to the students. The faculty appointed is highly qualified and experienced.
Internships Opportunities
Barclays, amarchand, L&T and various other companies come regularly for offering jobs and internships to the students. Stipends range from about 5000 to 16000.
Placement Experience
The placement opportunities are huge as they can get, big firms like ICICI, Amarchand, Barclays, L&T etc hire with packages extending to 13 lakhs.
College Events
SYMBHAV - our annual college festival. Believe me it is organised on a big level and getting bigger every year. We host fashion shows, dj wars, Performances from famous celebrity DJ's and stars, various other competitions and obviously law related competitions as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For us the three year llb course it is cheaper as compared to the 5 year llb course. First year our fees was 1, 50, 000 exactly, second year it increased to 1, 57, 500.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college does provide loan facilities and scholarships aswell, but i didn't take any of them neither did any of my friend, but one of my friend did take the EMI facility from the college.
Campus Life
Well the Campus life is as good as it can be, we have another college running on the third floor i.e. SSLA - Liberal Arts. we both together organize the annual college festival - SYMBHAV. Our college also organizes annual Moot Court competetions. like - Krishna Moota Court and Surana and Surana Moot court. For sports also there are alot of opportunities, SIU annually organises SYMBIFIT competetion in which participants come from throughout the country and even internationally.
Hostel Facilities
I'm not staying in a hostel but the Hostel Infrastructure is pretty good. The mess food is also good but as you know students get bored of the hostel food anyway.
Alumni/Alumna
Allumni and seniors are always ready for help, whether it be related to some subject or an extra curricular activity. My seniors from the Five year LLB course have helped me during exams and also in finding me an internship since i didn't have contacts as im not from a law background.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is also very well sorted although the exam itself scares every student. We have three internals for 20 marks each in every semester out of which the best two are carried forward. and the final exam is of 60 marks with 20 marks mcq's.
