Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because JU is one of the top colleges in West Bengal and our university is in NIRF 4th rank. There are 9 professors, 3 associate professors and 2 assistant professors. Hence BE is a four-year course, there are a total of 63×4 = 252 students All the professors are highly educated and PhD from many top institutions and many professors are post Doctorate from foreign. There are 8 semesters, so there are 8 main Exams, but there are a lot of classes in a complete year. If your class regularly and take class notes that are no problem to get star marks

Internships Opportunities

2.5

I am a 1st-year student so I don't have any idea about which company offered an internship. But I am sure that a Maximum number of students get internships in many top companies. And get a stipend of 30k-1lakh per month.

Placement Experience

5

Generally, after 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. All the top requiters came to pick students like TCS, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, PWC etc. Last year our College's highest package is 2cr+ The average package is 10lakh Almost 100% of students get placements. I am planning to study MBA after my BE Course.

Fees and Financial Aid

In India and even, I think in the world only Jadavpur University takes the lowest fees. In Information Technology our college takes only 1.2-1.5 lakhs and remaining courses takes 14k for full four years BE course There are all types of scholarships available. Swami Vivekananda Merit Come Scholarship is highly recommended to every student whose family income is less than 2.5 lakh per annum.

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
