Remarks

The eligibility was based on board marks. I accessed the application form via the HSNC University portal. The dates had been published on the HSNC website as well. The average fees I came to know this from different sources such as reviews of alumni. Reservation benefits can be availed by the Sindhi community. The admission process was smooth with active communication from the side of college

Course Curriculum Overview

Biotechnology is very interesting and aligns with my inclination towards research. Faculty student ratio is quite balanced. We have 10 teachers for a class of 40 students. The faculty is well versed and the teaching methods are really nice with good presentations and explanations. Exams are timely and of decent level

The third year of college is the year of research projects and internships. The first 2 years of college aim at character building that makes us suitable for a job or an internship, building and improving skills

Placement Experience

A placement cell is present. I am not sure about the placement rates for my course but many companies of high-end value are associated with our college which speaks volumes about the standards. I hope to get placed as an intern with a stipend but my main aim is to start with my master's after graduating

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very affordable. The hike policy hasn't been applied yet and is quite satisfied with how the course has been so far. The cost of the study is hence worth it. There are many scholarships available especially for minority groups.

Campus Life

The school fest is named Kiran. I belong to the National Service Unit (NSS) which also has a fest named Anandotsav. Both fests are really good. Also, the college is actively involved in participating in other fests arranged by different colleges in Mumbai. Books are in vast numbers in a library which is huge and well lit, hygienic. Periodically selections for sports happen which show the versatility. Other than NSS there are other clubs that really improve exposure and confidence such as RCKC and SCOPE

Well worth the journey!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

In univeral college from sem 6 students become eligible for campus placements, Name of the companies offered in placement is TATA TCS, Infotech , and etc. Highest package from our college is 10 LPA and average is 3.2 lacs per annum. 20% percent of students successfully get placed in the companies from our placement team. After getting degree i will prefer to study more with MCA two years of course and side by side business & developing webs and applications as this is my passion and motive. i will prefer business Now i am interested in python programming language and JAVA after this React JS, Node JS and PL / SQL + MONGO DB for backend programming which has no user interactions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

Life learning by the sea

I had applied for 3 colleges- Patkar college, Sophia and KC. I got selected in all three colleges but just because i wanted to experience travelling I decided to take KC. Eligibilty is based on your 12th marks so basically its on merit basis with minimum aggregate of 50-55% no entrance exam.
