Remarks

The eligibility of the course was based on the cutoff system of the Delhi university. I got admission in the 5th cutoff because my marks are low compared to the cutoff of the previous rounds. I found the application form on the site of Delhi University. There was a fee of 250 rupees for application fees which were submitted only through an online gateway. The application fee was Rs100 from SC/ST caste. The cutoff for SC/ST was also low as compared to the general cutoff which was the major benefit of the reservation. Froi now, Delhi university conducted an exam in which the college's cutoff was based on the marks you got in that test.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opt for a Bachelor of Science in Physics Hons at Shri Guru Teg Bahadur College. I choose this course because I have a deep interest in physics from my earlier classes. The faculty in the Delhi University Campuses are present in ample amounts. The ratio of the faculty to the students is approx 1:20. Teachers at Delhi University are very well qualified and they hold Ph.D., and MSc degrees as well. Most of the faculties at DU have experience of around 10-12 years in DU itself. Faculty members are supported as well, they help you when you need them. Talking about the exams, internal occurred around 1 time in one month per semester. Final exams were taken every 4 months or as per the schedule of different colleges.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunity is very less at the college of Delhi university. The college provides the sources but only a few of the students will get the benefits from them. All of the internships you have to do by yourself. Some companies like Tech Mahindra and TCS offer technical as well as nontechnical internships to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees of the colleges are different at the Delhi university. In my college, I have to pay around 40000 per year. I did not face any hike in the annual fees of the college so far. If you are financially unstable, you will also get the internship provided by the government of Delhi too. You will get job opportunities in college but don't expect that these jobs will pay you as you expect.

Campus Life

5

Different colleges organize different annual fest with different names in which they invite celebrities for concerts and entertainment. Tech fest is conducted once a year. My college campus is good. Infrastructure is a little bit old-fashioned but bearable. Classes do not have ACs but have the facility of a projector. The library is present in the college and contains all the books that are required. The college also organizes extra co-curricular activities too in the college. Colleges have many types of NGOs and clubs to support the system.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly
