I gave entrance test for CUSAT UG cources which is well known as CUSAT CAT. I got 1769 rank in that test. After that i was asked to register and give my preference order for corresponding branch streams and colleges under CUSAT. I choose this college since it is Government undertaking college and I always aspired to be a software engineer so I choose Electronics Enigineering as my 1st option and Electrical and Electronics as my 2nd option.

Cource Curriculam is very good here since the syllabus is revised and updated every 4 years.

Every year start-up submit is organised where many start-up companies come to recruit learning students as interns. They offer an average stipend for recruits. Some of the companies which came last year were SULPHUR SOFT Pvt. Ltd, SHORETEL, FREECHARGE. Some major technology giants also came here TCS, WIPRO, MU SIGMA. I was selected in two companies-TCS and SULPHUR SOFT Pvt. Ltd. I choose a local company (start up) in Kochi since it was near-by my localty.The overall experience was wondeful.

Placements here are very good as most of the students get placed in their 7th semesters itself. Few days back TCS came here for recruitment and recruited 226 students out of 330 registered students maximum by any other companies this year. TCS offered a package of 3.33 lakhs per annum. Some other companies that came here were as follows-(COMPANY NAME- PACKAGE OFFERED per annum)MU SIGMA-5.5 lakhsSHORETEL-4.5lakhs. Right now most of the students are placed and eagerly waiting for many other companies like FLIPKART, AMAZON, INFOSYS,COGNIZENT and others as they are visiting the campus in november first week. When more easier and understandable. AMADEUS-5.5lakhs,WIPRO-3.23lakhs,L&T valves-6.25lakhs,SCOPE-5.2lakhs, VERIZON-6.5lakhs, GODREJ-4.5lakhs, SNAPDEAL-15.25lakhs.

Our college conducts mainly three festivals yearly. This year in the month of february a Tech Fest was held named XPLENDOR. I was conducting a workshop of adrino in that. Onam is a major festival here. Every year we conduct a major onam festival on the evening of onam. A great dancing and human painted in form of poachers and tigers moves around whole campus. We have our arts festival named VIPANCHIKA and ARTS every year. Maximum participation of students takes place in these events.

The hostel fees is very less amount of around 400-500 per month. Girls and boys are both accomodated saperately in different hostel buildings. Hostel rooms are strictly shared by two students. Hostel mess provides a variety of good food for both North Indian and South Indian students. Hostel rules are very strict and needs to be followed.The mess fees varies from 2000-2500 INR. PG's are also available in near-by locality with average rentals around Rs 1500 to 2500.

Educational Loans are made available for every student who needs it by the nationalised banks across INDIA. College rewards course toppers with scholarships of Rs 30,000 every semester for branch topper and additional Rs 10,000 extra for university topper.

Campus life is elegient. Gender Ratio differs from branch to branch as, in mechanical engineering it is in 1:60 ratio whereas in IT,CS,ECE,EEE,CIVIL engineering it is in 25:60. Campus is very much diverse and fill of green. Scientific parks and research centers are available in ample amounts. Workshops are very freuent here indulging students in various extracurricular activities.There is a NSS group and who work on environment issues in campus.There are labs available for every branch in the campus itself. Sports week is held in the month of September-October every year. Debates and dance actvities etc are intergrated in the festivals itself.

Our aluminus and college seniors are very much co-operative.They visit our campus every year though i have attended one of the two meets,i dont know the same alumni visited the continuing year.In the meeting the give us valuable suggestions and ideas related to placements and interviews. They even help us on calls.

Faculties are well qualified, friendly and very much interested in teaching. They teach us in such a manner that whole class interacts with each other making studies easy.
