Remarks

He/she cracked JEE main with a good rank. For Admission after the coming of JEE main result, you have to apply for Jossa counseling (it is free)at jossa.nic.in and fill choice according to your preference. and after you are allotted a seat in the institute, Now you have to upload your documents - Category certificate, 12th mark sheet, income certificate(if u want fee waiver), medical certificate and you have to pay a seat acceptance fee of RS 35000(INR), after ending of counseling you have to report physically and submit some documents which will be told on institute website and pay an admission fee. Reservation: there are seats reserved category-wise in the institute. you got the benefit of it. Improvements: More time to submit documents.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose chemical engineering because I like chemistry and chemicals since school time. and I have an interest in industries. The faculty-student ratio is 1:9. All faculties member has a doctorate degree and is well qualified. their teaching methods are excellent and they explain concepts very easily. In one semester, there are two main exams - mid-semester and end-semester examinations and class tests for Internal marks in the subject.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 177344 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

1st sem Tuition fees are - 109,505 and there are some other fees like the institute fees, examination fees, Laboratory fees, and many more. you can on the institute website because it is updated every year. it will decrease by some amount per semester if it is not fixed.

Campus Life

Annual tech fest - tattva. it is conducted in October. The Annual Cultural - Ragam, is conducted in March. you will get any type of book here. wifi in the classroom, the speaker in the classroom for sound to each student, and enough space. There is every type of sport, you will get - cricket, kabaddi, kho kho, basketball, handball, and volleyball. there are many active clubs here technical, social, and cultural one of the famous clubs is unwired, it is for racing cars. the site of unwired - teamunwired.org is completely run by students.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
