Remarks

To get admission in Nitc students have to clear JEE Mains with good percentile. Application form provided by NTA on their own website. After clearing exams, further processor has to done by Josaa Counseling.

Course Curriculum Overview

Electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) is little hard as per the work load and wide syllabus in each subject, but it is easy to handle with regular study and proper attention in the classroom. All Faculties and staff are supportive.

Placements are very good at nit Calicut. Avarage is about 15lac for EEE branch and also good in other branches. Students can apply for internship after end of 6th sem. %placements CSE 100 ECE 97 EEE 91 And others branches also having good number

Fees and Financial Aid

1.20lac+ for annual income greater than 5lac, 45k+ for annual income between 1 lac to 5 lac, 0 fee for annual income less than 1 lac These are course fees only. For the hostel and mess have to pay separately each month around 5k. Many scholarships are available.

Campus Life

2 Annual fests have been conducted each year. One is a technical fest Named TATHAVA (Oct.) and the other is a cultural fest Named RAGAM(March). Many clubs are available to join some are cultural some technical some social clubs etc.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
