Remarks

You have to crack JEE mains to get into this college. Abroad students can take admitted through DASA. For the General category, you need to score a minimum of 98.5 percentile. For reserved categories with 94-95 percentile is enough to get in.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

My course in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, it's a versatile branch having almost 100% placement. So no worries about future job security. The course is a little hectic with a packed schedule. Faculties are well qualified and experienced. You will have mid sem and end sem for every semester. And another evaluation depends on the course faculty.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship drives are in your 5th semester itself. At the start of the drive, most companies offer a stipend of almost 150000 per month, and as time passes it comes to 50000 per month. Internship drives are for both core and IT jobs. SDE interns get more stipend as compared to the core job role candidate. You have to have your resume strong.

Placement Experience

5

If you have no backlogs and have a Cgpa above 6.5 you are eligible for placement drive in your 7th semester. Almost 100% of students (sitting for placement drive) get placed. So we have future job security, no worries. The highest package for the ongoing placement drive is 84.5 lakhs and yet many are to be placed. The average for the last placement drive was 13 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Most of the students get a scholarship from NSP, FFE, and other private scholarship providers. In terms of fee structure, it is dependent on the income of your parents. If you earn more than 5 lakhs you have to pay the entire fee (say almost 136000 per year). If your income is between 1-5 lakhs you need to pay 1/3 of the fees, and if your income is below 1lakh you need not pay any fees. Hostel and mess fees are different and are applicable for every student irrespective of the income of your parents.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many clubs on campus to get get more exposure other than curricular studies. We have tech clubs too. Tech clubs like RIG, and Aero- unwired, unwired are really good and worth joining. other cultural clubs are also good. We have a central library where you can find every book. We have the biggest technical fest in South India named TATHVA. Cultural fest named Ragam too. So college life is worth it.

Hostel Facilities

4

You have a LAN cable in every room so no worries about internet connectivity. You have all the other facilities like a cupboard, bed, table, chair fan and lights. Mess food is not that good, but still, you can have it to fill your stomach. Hostels are much more affordable than PG.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
