Remarks
I got a decent rank in the entrance examination to get admitted to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. I chose the Amritapiuri campus because I got admission with scholarship benefits. The admission process and counselling were smooth.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because computer science engineering is probably the easiest branch of engineering and I was interested in Mathematics. All the faculties who taught had post-graduation degrees and some of them had doctorates too.
Internships Opportunities
Only a few companies visited our college for providing internships during the third year of college. Most of the companies who visited our college who visited in the final year offered six months in the final year before confirming full-time employment.
Placement Experience
The placements provided at our college were great. A lot of companies including some multi-national companies visited our campus. Almost ninety per cent of the students got placed. The highest package provided was 25 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are high compared to other private colleges and every year fees are hiked for the new batch. There aren't many opportunities for on-campus jobs for undergraduate students. There are job opportunities for postgraduate students as teaching assistants.
Campus Life
The name of our campus fest is Vidyut. During my time of four years in college, the tech fest didn't happen due to external and internal reasons. Sports day and the cultural fest is conducted every year.
Hostel Facilities
So in the first year of college, the room was a bit small for four people. From the second year onwards a bigger room was allotted. Meals provided at the mess are below average quality. The quality of food never really improved in the four years of my college life.
