Remarks

Hostel freedom is less I believe. And moreover the number of Scholarships should be increased or Fee should be reduced to enable more wider society to access this great opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yeah the course curriculum is quite relevant and rather interesting. The course Ofcourse gives importance for developing the extra curricular abilities of the students and also sticks with the basic conditions like 75% attendence also. The faculties are also rather interested in promoting the children to publish papers and do projects etc.

Placement Experience

4

I am just a 2nd Semester student so I haven't much of reached that state. But from the words of my seniors I have much of reached at the conclusion that the Placements are quite satisfying I believe. Some of the companies which recruit from our College include Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, Google etc.

College Events

3

National level Multifest- Vidyut. Vidyut is the biggest National level Multifest in the country. Art's Fest, Sports Fest, Cultural Festivals etc are conducted in regular manners respecting the culture of different regions in India. Mostly during cultural fest days students are often allowed to wear cultural wears.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite expensive as compared to other private Colleges and Government colleges in Kerala. But as compared to other universities with similar rankings the Fee structure cannot be considered that high. The fee structure includes 240000 alone as Tution fees for Computer Science program and an additional 70000 as Hostel fees. Though the college also offers Scholarship program to Top rankers in the AEEE, the number of Scholarships are very much limited.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I have not opted for any scholarships or Loans so far. So I hadn't much of troubles which had to be done to get a loan. Though I had a little thought about getting the College's scholarships, but my branch selection made all the Chance's disappear.

Campus Life

3

The campus life can be considered pretty much okay. But the limitations to time to enter the Hostels is pretty much disastrous. The gender ratio can't be even considered as a number. It would be something like 1:5 or more. The college offers pretty much good Workshops and competitions during the Techfest. And also Ofcourse promotes students to participate in inter-college meets and Championships etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel. I am a hostler from the first semester and still is. Being an Amrita College student we do only have Vegetarian food at our mess. We are sharing a room among a group of 4. Though the hostel fees is 70000, the hostel and food facilities doesn't meet the Fees' level according to my opinions. Though there are Rentable rooms near by there also limitations in facilities there also.

Alumni/Alumna

Yeah, they are pretty much helpful. Many of them are providing opportunities for us juniors to join their companies or Giving us Chance's to participate in Internships or Even being ready to find our Start-Ups etc.

Admission

I got admission through the AEEE exam. The admission process hard started by the 10th of March. The admission is also available through the JEE Mains Entrance Exam. The ranking of the University and the Job opportunities were the core reasons which had made me choose this college.

Faculty

3

The faculties are interested in promoting the children to publish papers, do projects, compete in competitions, participate in codejams, conferences etc. In my course alone I would have met about 15-25 lecturers within completion of my second sem. Most of our Core teachers are having Mtech degree. Whereas Arts teachers hold MSC and PHD mostly I believe.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
