Remarks

The admission procedure was good and it was based on marks available for the bachelor's degree. there was no entrance exam conducted. first, we needed to submit the photocopies of the mark sheet. after that, the final result was published.

Course Curriculum Overview

the course was tough enough but the professors helped us understand things smoothly. They helped us with study materials. and even gave us side-by-side tuitions. they were regular and we were very obedient to them.

Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

there were no scholarships given to the students, and the fee structure is based on the norms of the university only. the fees were 5000 per month and also the admission fees were 5000. it was quite a good amount for us.

Campus Life

life was good in college. with lots of friends. with proper guidance, study materials, and co-operative professors and the good books in the library helped us concentrate with the courses we had chosen.

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

My Experience as an MA Graduate in Jadavpur University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for camous placemens from the third semester onwards. Companies that have visited the Departmet of Comparative Literature witth campus placements offers are SVF, Hoichoi, Radio Mirchi, Papertrue, LearningMate, among others. Highest package offered by companies is 8.5 LPA Percentage of students getting placements is 85% My plans after getting my MA degree is to go for a PhD.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
