Remarks

Admissions in Sri Aurobindo College were based on Class 12th score. A cutoff is released and if someone fulfills the eligibility according to the cutoff then he can apply for college. The application form is available on the Delhi university website (www.du.ac.in). The cutoffs are released separately for different categories giving some relaxation to SC, OBC, EWS, PWD, and girl students. The admission process is very slow compared to some of the private colleges. It should be faster.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

While I thought of choosing a suitable course for me I just considered that I did not want to leave the sciences stream. Now I had all the BSc courses as an option. In the future, I wish to go into the armed forces. So according to me, BSc Physical Sciences is the course that could give me sufficient time to prepare for my future and even the course itself includes things that are helpful in the armed forces examinations like CDS and AFCAT. There are about 2500 students in the college out of which nearly 1500 are boys and the rest are girls. All the teachers are Ph.D. holders. Their teaching methods are a little outdated but their experience is enough to compensate for that point. Overall teachers are good. Exams were always on time as per the schedule. And it was not too difficult for me to pass the exams since I was preparing for the exams since the beginning itself.

Internships Opportunities

4

College provides various placement opportunities to students. Teachers keep on sharing placement links with students through WhatsApp groups. Usually, the internships are regarding research programs for BSc students and marketing for BA and BCom students.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students in their final year are eligible for campus placements. Various companies visit the college at the time of placements like BYJU'S and Decathlon to name a few. The highest package goes up to 500000 and the average package amount is nearly 300000. 20% of the students get placement from the college placement cell. I plan to go into the armed forces after I complete my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college's fee is very very less than the quality of education that is being provided in the college. Though the campus is small and the buildings are old. But if education and sports are the only perspectives that are kept in mind that the college holds a good image. College provides all the government-aided scholarships and a few private scholarships as well. Campus placements are not available in the college but yes, various other placement opportunities are available like Decathlon is one of them.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is quite exciting if you have a good group of friends. Fests are annually conducted in the college. And different fests are conducted for different societies in the college. Nearby the month of April all the fests lie. The library is filled with several books. And all the books are available in multiple quantities. All the basic amenities are available on the college campus and in the classes. Sports activities are also conducted in the college. Games like kabaddi, cricket, volleyball, basketball, and football are conducted. There are many groups run by the students like RRS a very famous group of students is one of them that works on the grounds of anti-casteism in the college. There are various Instagram handles on the name of the college run by many students of the college to help the students inside the college and the students wishing to join the college.

Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
