Remarks

The admission process was good, you can take the admission through the CAP round or directly on the basis of your JEE Main score. The cutoff varies on the basis of the branch and the seats available. The application form and all the information regarding fees and dates are available on the college website or you can directly contact the institute. Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samastha provides a lot of benefits for women's education, there are reservation benefits for SC, ST and OBC categories. General Category students can also avail many benefits through various Scholarships. It would be great and more convenient if the college focuses on fully digitalizing the admission process for students who are from different states and cities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose Computer Engineering because I was always interested in this field and wanted to explore more in this area and about the evolving technology. The faculty: student ratio is 1:10. The faculty members provide constant guidance and support. Most of the faculty members are PhDs, Postgraduates and Graduates. There are regular classes and practicals where they teach all the subjects and topics included in the curriculum. The college exams(internals) are conducted twice every semester and there is one university exam for each semester. The exams are of intermediate level and help to score well in university exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

College provides internship opportunities like intel, DRDO, some startups like Evoving X etc.For Mechanical and Electronics Students there are oppportunities at Tata and Mahindra where they can learn and do hands on work.College is also coming up with PPO opportunities for third year students. Many students are working on Live Projects at NIC, VNIT, Railway etc.Students also opt for virtual internship where they build projects and learn new technologies.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at Cummins College are really good, that is the plus point of the college, Training and Placement cell put a lot of efforts to bring in huge MNCs and preparing students for all the opportuities. By the end of third year student become eligible for campus placements. There are approx 50 to 60 companies visited in the college for placements. Some of the dream companies where students got placed are CISO, Citi, Providence, Barclays, GSK, Gartner, Publicis Sapient, HSBC, MG Motor, Icertis, Cummins India Ltd,Caterpillar, Infosys, TCS etc. Other companies like Phone pe, Palo Alto, Intuit, Microsoft, Deutsche bank, Cognizant, and Mckinsey also visit here. The highest package is 24.73 LPA and the average package is 6.7 LPA. Every year approx 70-80% of students get placed in good companies and college focus on achieving 100% placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies for different years, there is a hike in the fee as compared to the previous year. College provides various Scholarship opportunities. I got the Kiran girls Scholarship from Persistent Foundation. Along with scholarships they also provide proper coding and soft skill training and a lot of opportunities to scholarship holders. The training and Placement cell of the college is very active and doing excellent work, they bring in a lot of dream opportunities and focuses on maximum placement. I recently got placed in CISCO with a package of 24.73 LPA. I am really satisfied with the campus opportunities and offers.

Campus Life

3.5

There are various tech fests and cultural fests conducted in college like Annual fest "Ananya", Garba fest "Umang", Sports fest "Urja" and "Damini", tech fest "Aavishkar" etc. Library has all sorts of books especially related to course and curriculum but there is a need for journals and novels for the students to read in their free time. There are numerous groups and clubs for students to learn and enhance their skills like CSI, IEEE, IETE etc. These groups conduct various technical and non-technical activities for students and introduce some new technology to students.

Hostel Facilities

3

Registration Process for Hostel is very easy, it is quite affordable too. Hostel rooms are quite congested as there are 4 people in one room and very less storage space. Food in the mess is not up to the mark, just like any other hostel mess..... it's kinda obvious and understandable. They need to improve on this.

The placement record of our college is pretty good, although top product based companies such as google, microsoft, meta don't come to hire directly from our college but various other MNC's such as TCS, Infosys, Mindtree, Barclays, Delloite, Wipro, Capgemini etc come for On campus at our college. Around 70% students get placed out of the total eligible students with average package of 5 LPA. The highest package offered to one student of our college in 2021 was 60 LPA by uber.

Placements come at the campus and students are eligible to apply from their TE (3rd year). Companies visited during panademic are Warade Packtech, Roop Polymers, Flex, etc. These are basic startup companies visited here with package of 1.2 LPA to 2.1 LPA. The core companies have not mostly visited due to this Panademic. Besides it BYJU, Telentio, Whitehat JR, Amazon are the companies which provide a package of 6 LPA to 12 LPA, but these are Sales and Marketing based companies. Besides you can apply in Offcampus interviews from TCS, Capgemini, Accenture which provide package around 3.4 LPA to 4.6 LPA, even mechanical people get selected in this Tech companies. But my pan is to work in Mechanical Core Companies.
