Remarks

Admission college conducted by west Bengal board. I have appeared in WBJEE and I had a pretty good rank after counselling, this college opted for me. I found the application form online and the fee is 500 rupees. Every year they change some rules and tried to improve them.

Course Curriculum Overview

I had a keen interest in Electric instruments. So I chose this branch. Approximately 22 faculty are present. Qualification is top level, most of them have their PHD in IIT. The teaching style is great, they also taught us practically. Unit tests were taken monthly basis and the semester was on half yearly basis. It was not that tough to pass the exams.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 2021 per year

Placement Experience

From 6 the semester student can apply for off campusing. Veda IIT, SoCtronics, Wipro and TCS have come to our college. The maximum package was 12.5 Lakh per annum. 70% of students were placed in different fields like IT and Core. I have started preparing for Govt jobs and also aim for higher studies in IIT and NIT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees were 5000 per semester including tuition, library, sports etc. Applicable students can apply for scholarships like Oasis, Swami Vivekananda scholarship etc. There may be some fee hike but I haven't any idea because I already passed out from this college last year.

Campus Life

The annual fest happened annually and it's name is Esperanza. All the students of all department organize this. They also organize departmental fest. Big playground were there and football, cricket, and volleyball matches were conducted on this ground. GEEX-Tech Club is a popular club in this college

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
